We had a wonderful time! The whole trip was very enjoyable. The skipper, Davide, along with mate Sofia, provided interesting commentary, and were friendly and personable. The boatride was so relaxing. We enjoyed both the snorkeling and swimming stops. The water was so calm and refreshing. We were provided a delicious aperitivo of Sicilian snacks, with sparkling wine, beer and soft drinks. We enjoyed it with our fellow travelers, we were 8 passengers in total. This excursion was super fun!

Virginia our guide was very good. The Etna trek was very informative, with fantastic views. This was a small group so Virginia able to answer any questions easily and provided plenty of information. My sister and I were the only people going on the wine tasting and vineyard tour, were taken there by personal driver. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience in a small family owned vineyard. Lunch provided which was delicious. Would recommend this tour

This tour was not as described:
The Etna excursion and wine tasting with lunch begins in an SUV or minivan (up to 8 people) with a first stop in an off-road vehicle up to the lava front of the 2002 eruption. ( we were picked up in a minivan;
We traveled to a spot in the woods and then had to walk a pretty long distance up hill to get to the lava flow. We saw other off road vehicles taking clients to the lava flow.)
Subsequently, crossing the Ragabo Pine Forest, we will arrive at the starting point of the trek to the Monti Sartorius craters where we will continue on foot starting from 1650m and arriving at an altitude of 1750 metres, a walk suitable for everyone. ( because we had a few in our group that had some difficulty with the first stop. They changed drivers and they didn’t take us to the lava tunnels which according to the description was suitable for everyone.)
We will then explore a lava flow cave, the Grotta dei Ladroni, equipped with helmets and torches.
After the excursion to Etna, we will visit a local winery where you can taste various Etna wines and a complete lunch based on Sicilian specialties. A sommelier will tell you about viticulture in Sicily, the winemaking processes and the history of the winery. In summary, this tour represents the ideal opportunity to discover the beauty of Etna, its geological history and the food and wine culture of Sicily, through an evocative and unforgettable experience. (. We went to the winery. The 8 of us English speaking were joined with a large group of Germans for the winery tour. The guide did the best that she could speaking Italian to their group leader who then was translating into German and then speaking to us in English. It was very difficult to understand in a small confined space.
The wines and lunch were good and our second driver, Giovanni, was delightful. )

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the tour didn’t fully meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points you mentioned.
Regarding the walk to the lava front, this is indeed an intentional part of our itinerary. While some agencies opt to drive, we prefer offering a relaxing walk through the forest, which many of our guests enjoy. We understand, of course, that preferences can vary and we respect that.
As for the lava tunnels, there may have been a small misunderstanding. The "lava flow cave" you visited is in fact the lava flow tunnel included in the itinerary. Though colloquially many call it a cave, "grotta", that's specifically a lava flow tunnel. No additional tunnels were omitted from the tour and the itinerary was followed as described.
Concerning the winery visit, we’d like to clarify for future guests reading this review that while lunch and wine tasting took place they were at their own private table. The guided tour of the winery is then done in groups, this is a practical necessity as logistically it wouldn't be possible to assign a winery staff member to each individual table. If any part of explanations are unclear the guides are always happy to repeat the information when asked.
We’re naturally disappointed to receive a 2/5 rating, we think that it might be a bit too harsh and maybe partially influenced by a misunderstanding. That said, we respect your opinion and that you took the time to share your thoughts.

We had such an amazing day on Mt. Etna. There were 10 of us on this excursion. We were picked up in two luxury cars and while driving to Mt. Etna our guide shared a lot of background about Mt. Etna and Sicily. We spent time hiking, going to a lava cave, eating lunch and drinking wine and then were dropped back off near our house. It was such a great experience! The two guides were so accommodating and really made it so special.
