Professional, knowledgeable guide! The company also ensures that everyone is appropriately attired and equipped, FOC loans of equipment where necessary. The hiking is well-paced so no one is left behind and our guide was Giovanni who was both knowledgeable and very entertaining indeed. I also chose the option for a pick up and drop off from Catania. The company was prompt with their communications and the driver was punctual as well!

Hike of the wonderful Etna

The start of the activity was rather chaotic with many different groups starting at the same time with different guides. The activity itself started no sooner than 9:45 even though it should have started at 9 AM. Our guide was Edoardo, who kept a nice pace of hiking and provided many breaks during which he told us all about Etna and its activity. The first half was more demanding as we hiked up to one of the newest craters, and, unfortunately, there was snow that made the walk difficult. The latter half was easy because we were coming down and there was no snow in that part. The views were breath-taking. Despite it being 30 C degrees in Catania, it was much colder on Etna, also because of the wind and clouds, so taking the sports jacket was a good idea (at some point I even missed the gloves).

Eduardo was a great tour guide. He paced us up the volcano and had great stories to with it. I was probably 2 times older than everyone else and didn't think I could complete the hike but with his encouragement I made it to the craters rim Love also that he had extra coat and backpack just in case we need it. Very well organized excursion

Jacquemot was a great guide! His knowledge of the craters and Volcano Etna was immense. Make sure you have a good fitness level especially in the Winter. Snowshoeing up to 2800m is very hard work!

A unique experience

We arrived on Mount Etna after several days of rain on the plain: so it was covered with snow. Plan socks from.recahge, a possible budget shoe rental. Otherwise, it was great! The volcano was pristine white and the craters were accessible. A nice hike (you have to be fit) that we recommend!!! Congratulations to Antonio our guide who also made the necessary to find a driver to drive us from Catania.
