My tour of Mt Etna was just fantastic. I met my guide Matteo and the other 4 members of our group in the centre of Catania. From there we drove to Mt Entna stopping along the way to look at different lava formations. Matteo was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and informative but did not overload us with information. He was extremely friendly and the group bonded very quickly. We walked up the side of Mt Etna but it never felt rushed, stopping to talk about different aspects of the volcano. Matteo took us to grab lunch and we then drove to look at a cave that was made by the lave many years ago. We ate lunch in the sun before returning to Catania. I cannot express how much I enjoyed the tour and how amazing Matteo was as our guide. An awesome day out. Thoroughly recommend 👍🏻

Fabio was a very knowledgeable guide. Enjoyed our half day Etna tour and despite the recent volcanic activity, Fabio made sure that tour was going safely. Light refreshment provided was a great touch to end the tour.

This was an amazing once in a lifetime tour. Fabio was an excellent guide, he’s a geologist and had lots of insightful information. He was also very considerate and just all around amazing. The itinerary is perfect, not too long and not too short. The can is comfortable as well. A highlight of our trip!

Great trip to Mount Etna

We had a fantastic day trip to Mount Etna with Fabio as our guide. He was full of information and insightful in the area as he lived on the route to Mount Etna. He drove great, we stopped off at a coffee shop on the way where we had a coffee each included in the price. We then carried on our way to Mount Etna. We parked at the base he gave us a jacket to wear each to keep us warm. We walked up and he explained the different dates of eruptions and the volcanic lava flow and what causes it. After we were back down we had a comfort break and he then drove us to an area called a ‘refuge’ where we had a picnic of food he had brought and red wine in the most beautiful location. Then we came back to Catania. Left at 8.30 and got back at 3pm. A fantastic day, one we will forever remember thanks Fabio.
