Itinerary

Get picked up in the morning from your Rio de Janeiro hotel in the city’s downtown and southern tourist zones, after which you’ll drive around two hours to reach Brazil’s “Costa Verde” region.

You’ll arrive in the port city of Angra dos Reis and board a boat to begin your exploration of this coastal paradise. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the sun-drenched tropical vibes of the Bay’s collection of more than 300 offshore islands. Stop by Ilha Grande, the most famous of the bunch, to enjoy its crystal-clear waters and postcard-perfect beaches.

Then visit Ilha de Cataguases, known for its unique topography, and stop by Lagoa Azul, known to be one of the finest diving locations in the region. Many underwater explorers report the area is home to a variety of starfish, squid, colorful fish, and coral. The trip will make two additional stops in Freguesia de Santana, an island with an agricultural history that dates back to colonial times, and Praia de Japariz, another isle known for its scenic beaches.

At the end of your trip you’ll return to share and transfer back to your hotel in Rio de Janeiro.

Pickup time was confirmed but guide arrived 20 minutes early and expected us to comply. Very long time spent in the bus - about 6 hours total. And very bad and very late “lunch”. Mismanagement of every element of trip from pick up to description to boat to lousy food. I hold the tour company responsible.

Run for your life. Don’t take unless you are ok with poor quality

This tour has been the worse of my trip. Nothing was organized. The bus seats were good but the driver kept playing with the AC. The collection in the morning took 3 hours!!!! We waited after we got on the bus two more hours but some folks started at 6am. We got to the boat only at 1230 after a long line at the steamy entrance to the tour office the boat was old and neglected, broken toilets , they stuffed maybe 100 people on that, some were in the sun all day. Loud speakers too much. The guide was so so, bad English, half info. The tour itself was messy and the highlight was a disgusting dinner in some neglected stinky place on the last beach. They wasted my entire day we arrived back to rio only at 2300 it was so messy.

On such dates, traffic and potential delays are inevitable, particularly on the route to Angra dos Reis, which typically takes around 3 hours. We understand that this aspect may have influenced your perception of the experience. We would like to highlight that all information regarding the dynamics of a group tour, including the time required for boarding and transportation, is clearly stated in the product description. Regarding the conditions of the boat and bus used, we assure you that both are properly authorized by the relevant regulatory bodies. We are reviewing the reported issues, as per maritime and road safety regulations, since a boat in the condition described would never receive port clearance from the Navy. It is uncommon for our equipment to be in such conditions. Please rest assured that we continuously strive to ensure the quality of our services and the safety of our customers. As for the itinerary, all scheduled times were adhered to, the planned attractions were visited, and the services described in the activity were provided as advertised. Beautiful stops. Plenty of time for swimming and walking. The boat ride was fun, although it had quite the party boat theme, so perhaps not as catered to some of the elderly guests as it got quire noisy at times. It didn't bother me personally, but if you're not looking to drink and mingle you might steer towards a quieter tour.

Over all it was a good trip. Just not for me. I like to be more independent and get a chance to explore more on my own. I felt like I wasted a day and $90 to not really see anything. Not an experience I haven't had before! But hey, why complain, I'm in Brazil!

La destination est magnifique mais l'organisation vraiment à revoir...nous avons passé 2h!!!! à récupérer des personnes dans les différents hôtels uniquement de Copacabana !!!! Le trajet entre les hôtels doit être optimisé...du coup nous n'avons passé que 30 mn dans 2 îles! Il faudrait faire 3 arrêts et non 4.
