the experience was really fun & i highly suggest going during golden hour/sunset - the views are just so unreal! i love that they have plenty of shops & stores around to grab food & drinks. it was also nice to not feel rushed & we really took our time!

I read many reviews that said this was well worth it, and I couldn’t agree more. I spent over two hours exploring both beautiful stops. Had I not had the skip the line, I would’ve had an additional (at least) two hours of just waiting. There are signs that are marked priority/fast. Make sure you go through those marked areas and the staff will help move you through.

What To Expect

Make your own way to the the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain (Bondinho Pão de Açúcar), and head directly to the entrance marked "Exclusive Tickets" to exchange your printed voucher for an admission ticket (e-vouchers are not accepted). Then board the next cable car going up the mountain, riding in the fully enclosed cabin to the top of the mountain. Your ticket entitles you to bypass the main lines for both cable cars. Skip-the-line admission is also valid for the second cable car, which takes you to Sugar Loaf's summit.

From the cable car, take in panoramic views of the surrounding scenery, including Copacabana Beach, the streets of Rio de Janeiro, and Guanabara Bay. Disembark at the top for great photo ops from the lookout point. If you want a snack or drink, there is a food court and restaurant at the summit where you can purchase a treat.

I would definitely recommend this skip-the-line ticket especially if you’re planning on visiting during a weekend. I went on a Sunday and the regular lines were crazy long, but I only had to wait about 10 minutes for each ride.

Great experience and worth every penny. Viator need to update their website though. You don’t need to print out the tickets. Even customer service says you need to but the location said that is doesn’t need to be be printed.

Great experience, highly recommended. This ticket allow you to jump the queue, there were literally hundreds of people waiting and we just skipped them straight on to the cable car. Great!

By getting the vip ticket. No long waits in lines, there is a special line for you to go and exchange your voucher for tickets and staff were good at pointing us in the right direction. Definitely made it a relaxing and stressful free day.

Showed the front line guy our tickets and we were told to go in a certain line. 30/40 minutes into the line we realized the other people in line did not have “rapido” on their bands. We were placed in the wrong line while having the skip the line band. When we tried to talk to one of the guys the rope untied and he ignored us and just fixed the rope. Asked another worker and she said “sorry about that”. We missed the sunset experience that we booked because we were placed in the wrong line due to them not paying attention. Also watched a guy sneak right into the line as well.

Incredible views and a lot of food and drink vendors so you can enjoy a cocktail with your view. We went on a Tuesday afternoon - they have a live DJ every Tuesday and Thursday for sunset (check the official website for dates, they publish them every month so these days might change) The “skip the line” option was worth the extra money as everyone wanted to get off the mountain after sunset and if we had to wait in that line we would have been standing there for an hour.

Horrible experience with Viator and the vendor selling these tickets. The system gave me the wrong date when purchasing and I had to purchase a set of 2 tickets. When trying to get a refund for the incorrect date they had no regard that I spent $600USD total and didn’t give me a refund or at the very minimum a credit on my Viator account.

Getting your tickets was easy at the ticket office with the Viator voucher. The fast pass work brilliantly. We jumped all the queues! The view from the top of the mountain was breathtaking. I would thoroughly recommend doing this activity.

You can definitely get this attraction cheaper at the official website but I couldn’t get my credit card to work. At first there was not a long line and I thought I wasted my money on fast pass but it was definitely worth the money at the other stops. Remember you have lines at four different stops.

Had a panic trying to get a printed confirmation but found a local hostel could do this on NY Day. We planned the sunset visit, arrived 1745, swift processing and bypassed 100s on eager travelers. Views amazing, sunset photos awesome, 100% worth the money. It was 28C at 1915 and the queues back down were huge.

This Skip the line ticket is really worth ! We thought it was just skip the line when getting the ticket. but actually it is the REAL FAST PASS that by pass all the Q all the way UP (2 times cable ride) and all the way down (another 2 times ) - it saves us a lot of time. REALLY RECOMMEND! Without this FASTPASS we cannot get a SUNSET shot in-time. (But you need to ask the STAFF clearly which is the Q for FAST PASS holder)
