The time indicated at the moment of booking is merely indicative. On the day before the tour, we will contact you via WhatsApp with the boarding details. If the pickup address is not provided, the final meeting point will be: Socialtel Lapa - Rua Visconde de Maranguape, 9.

Lunch will not be served before the boat tour, as some people may feel discomfort due to the movement of the vessel. It will be served between 2:30 PM and 3:30 PM. We recommend bringing snacks and water to consume on the bus during the journey.
Tours operate as usual even in bad weather and are only canceled in exceptional circumstances when the Brazilian Navy does not authorize the vessel to depart.
ATTENTION: Do not dispose of any items in the toilet (including toilet paper).
Boats do not operate when overcrowded and are inspected by the Brazilian Navy. During high season, we prioritize larger vessels, always within legal limits.
Transport Rio - Angra dos Reis – two options: Hotel pick-up (if available for your accommodation): If you choose hotel pick-up, you will be picked up directly at your accommodation, but you will need to participate in the collection of all other customers. The pick-up process will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. From the last meeting point, the journey to Angra dos Reis will take 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Final meeting point: If you prefer to avoid the hotel pick-up process, you can go directly to the final meeting point by selecting Socialtel Lapa - Rua Visconde de Maranguape 9 in your booking. From there, the journey to Angra dos Reis will take 2 hours and 45 minutes.

I had an absolutely amazing experience on this tour! Everything about it was adventurous, inspiring, and unforgettable. It was a good experience because I had fun with the people I went with! The people and group made the trip though, so if you're not with fun people maybe skip as it was a little harder making friends as most people were with groups already. Also, it lasts allll day lol, like 7am-11pm so don't plan anything else on the day you do this!

The bus in the morning...

The bus in the morning was about 30 minutes late. The guide was very friendly and funny. Maybe he can use an audio system in the bus in the future because sometimes we could barely hear him. In general there were too many people in the harbor, and at the places we went to. We swam between 5-6 big boats run by diesel, which is not really a paradise atmosphere. The food was okay and the atmosphere on the boat and in the bus nice and comfortable.

Not worth the time. You’ll end up spending 5 hours in the bus EACH WAY to basically cruise around the boat for 4-5 hours. Most places they allowed you to swim around the boat but did not dock at the islands/beaches except for the next to last stop for lunch (at 4:30pm) on a small island. The food wasn’t great, either. The guide was very nice and the bartender on the boat was the hardest working person on staff, but other than that - a waste of day.

Long and low value for money

You should be aware that it is a minimum 4 hour return trip by bus to the boat embarkation, which in our case was 6.5 hours due to traffic. The extra equipment higher was very poor quality, even unusable and not totally necessary. This trip is more focused on raising extra cash than providing relaxing and enjoyable experience to the clients. Our collection point was changed the night before which was communicated via email. Please be aware of this policy. The tour started with 1.5 delay due to poor management.

The tour was a nice experience. We visited different beaches and bays. Our guide, Philip was very helpful and informative. But the organisation before the tour was not very professional: I booked with hotel pickup at 7 am, then I should go to a meeting point at 7:10 am, then at 6:50 am and the bus came finally at 7:15 am. Be prepared for a long day: We arrived back at 11 pm. And take a sweater with you because it was very cold in the bus back.

The travel time took an extra 2 hours each way with no explanation why or heads up in advance. Maps says its supposed to be a 2.5-3 hr drive but took 5 hours each way. Besides this the staff was nice and the entire experience was great.

This was one of the most unprofessional and disorganized excursions I have ever experienced. The booking description clearly stated we would be finished at 5:00 PM. Instead, we did not return to the original drop-off location until midnight — a seven-hour delay from what was advertised. That is completely unacceptable. When we booked, we selected our pickup location from the provided dropdown menu. After waiting over 45 minutes past the scheduled pickup time and repeatedly trying to contact the company with no response, we finally reached someone via a WhatsApp number. At that point, we were told that our group — along with another group of girls who had selected the exact same pickup location — needed to come to him instead. He had not answered their calls either. When we attempted to call the tour guide directly, he hung up on us and refused to pick us up from the confirmed location. We were then forced to take an Uber 4–5 blocks away to meet him. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is unacceptable. The experience itself was not as advertised. The snorkeling was extremely disappointing, and additional undisclosed fees were charged during the three-hour bus ride to the island. These charges were never communicated at the time of booking. By the time we returned to port and boarded the bus again, it was already 8:00 PM — and we still had nearly four more hours of travel ahead of us. This timeline was never disclosed and does not align with the advertised schedule. To make matters worse, at the very end of the night — when we were already extremely delayed and trying to leave — the tour guide allowed a homeless man to board our bus. After everything that had already gone wrong, this added another layer of discomfort and concern for our group. Thiago was highly unprofessional throughout the day. He delayed the group while purchasing food and smoking cigarettes, further pushing back our already late return. He repeatedly stated he did not know where the bus was, and our group was the last to disembark both going to and returning from the boat. Overall, this excursion was misleading, poorly managed, and far from what was promised. I would strongly caution anyone considering booking this tour.

Great Tour with Some Notes.

We had a fantastic tour. It was nice to see another part of Rio/Brazil during our trip, and the islands were gorgeous. A few notes for anyone looking to book in the future… Avoid booking on Fridays/Weekends unless you want to sit in 5+ hours of traffic on the way home. The drive was made much longer by the weekend traffic, and our guide said it was the usual. We went during high season, so the islands/bays were extra packed. It sorta took away from the trip a bit. The boat had bathrooms (wouldn’t call them the nicest but they worked… ish) and enough food/drink options to get you by. The buckets of beer were especially nice. As advertised, everything was extra, but they do a nice job of selling on board/on the bus there. Would I do it again? Yes. Just at a different season and definitely not on a weekend.

The tour is fine until you get to the boat. It was chaos, felt extremely overbooked. All this would have been tolerable if the boat staff was even a little polite. I have been on many an excursion and boat related excursion and none have ever been like this. Prepare to have employees give you attitude for asking questions about drinks and food you payed for. Then when you finally get said food and drink, it will be terrible. We couldn’t even chew through our meat. Others had similar experiences. I have never been on a boat with such rude staff, a staff that helped cultivate an aggressive environment on the boat. The sights are gorgeous and you should see them but just with another group. Unless you don’t care about service or comfort then by all means go with these folks.

Much to be desired

I'll try to be unbiased as we faced a very nonstop rainy day. Daniel the tour guide is excellent! He spoke Portuguese, Spanish & English. He explained everything very clear. He comes on the boat ride and also translates on the boat tour over intercom - as long as you listen you will always know what's going on. If you have any specific questions Daniel is there to help and explain. The bus driver did his best to get us there and back as quickly as possible despite the traffic and weather. 1. The ride to the port took about 3hours+. We were the first to be picked up and had to round up other passengers. The bus is COLD, so bring a lite jacket. There is a restroom on board. 2. Bring snacks and drinks, nowhere on the bus nor port were there things to eat. 3. The boat was filled to the max with a mix of ppl(frat boy groups,family with young kids to elder couples) , so if you want to get a good seat line up towards the front. The boat sets a good vibe with great music blasting, snacks and drinks(alcohol and non)to purchase. 4. Do to the many other boats, our 2nd stop was delayed and headed to the 3rd beach. I will warn that the beach is VERY polluted with debris and trash on the shore and water. The 'beach' area is very narrow. It sits outside private property with vendors on the beach(I would think the debris would be cleaned up for visitors). Not enjoyable and was allowed 30-40 mins at this location. 5. The Blue Lagoon area was nice. Other boats around so you can interact with them. Water was clear but the fish was not obvious until the tour guides threw out some bait. This lasted for an hour. 6. The area where lunch was very crowded with other tours. Food was decent with fish, stewed chicken, rice, veggies and beans included with tour. Drinks & dessert were a separate for purchase. 7. We were one of the last boats to arrive back at the dock around 7:30pm/19:30. Bus ride took forever, around 4 hours due to traffic(Got to our residence at midnight, pickup at 6:40am that day). Again the bus is COLD, especially after wearing your wet swimset. Bring a change of clothes, a towel or jacket. Overall I would not take this specific tour again due to the travel time took up most of the day vs actually enjoying the water.

Good but not great

Good but not great. We spent A LOT more time on the bus going to and coming from than expected— we were picket up at 7:30 and didn’t arrive to the town where the tour started u til almost 12 (4 hours). This was partially due to traffic but also due to the fact that there were many pick up locations prior to leaving Rio— many of which were relatively close to one another. We arrived back at our drop off location around 9:30 pm— long day! This tour could be improved by consolidating the stops. The boat ride was nice. We snorkeled and spent time on a beach and had a nice “lunch” (at 4pm). It was overall a good day but I don’t think I’d do it again. You could definitely have a similar experience in Rio and not spend so much time traveling.
