Leo was the best guide, he made sure we understood and enjoy our trip. The boat was a bit overcrowded, but the views are espectacular, the music was authentic so where all the crew at the "Aconchego IV" "kudos" for their hard work and for making our experience great.

The tour was fun. The process of getting there was not. We had to go to a hotel at 6am to be picked up, which was fine, however we spent about 2 hours stopping at different hotels picking people up which added too much time to the already extremely long ride we had to take to the actual beaches. The tour guide was also kind of crazy, she was very disorganized and a bit rude. Overall we enjoyed ourselves but this required a more efficient way of being done.

Good overall, its a pretty long day with transportation from Rio (leave 8am return 8:30p) but worth the experience of visiting Angra its beautiful there! Overall well organized tour, I would recommend this company. Th bus picked us up from hotel about 1 hour late, that was really the only issue. Also wish they would have informed on booking page pricing for extras for sale on tour (snorkling equip, drinks, food, appetizers, etc…)

The water is great, the islands are great, the company and other travelers were also great and as a solo traveler I truly appreciate that. I only wished there was more ambiance on the boat like more music that's why 4 stars. The experience was truly worth the price....the on board drinks were also on point.

-1 star lost for being 49 minutes late and tardiness -1 star lost for professionalism( asked for an eta and kept saying that it was unfounded for them being late as there was traffic) -1 star lost for poor communication. The tour guide not speaking English( we had to ask our friends who are bilingual to keep us in the loop) -3 star for the experience: 3 hour bus ride, to get the the l grande island, from there a boat ride the music was very loud music -my TM about to rupture, the water was not clean, they charge 60 for snorkel rental, three islands 30-50 minutes each, the buffet is basic beans, chicken, fish-very basic. Advise: if you are English speaker -do not go If you want hype fun and experience- do not go there. If you care about good quality food- do not go Honestly we confidently would say our worst experience in Brazil.

When we booked this tour we expected a small group tour where we enjoy a lovely boat ride to multiple islands. Here is how it actually went: 7:30-11:30 in a tour bus picking people up and driving to boat. 12:30-1:30 waiting around with hundreds of people while we wait for them to pay 1:30 get on the boat which was over crowded leaving no seats so people had to sit on middle console. There were about 75 people on the boat. 1:30-2:30 boat ride 2:30 we finally got to spot where we could snorkel and it was nice. We had about 50 minutes at the first stop. Even though we indicated we wanted to snorkel, they didn't have enough. The lady said she mistakenly only got 7.... also snorkeling is an extra cost. 3:15 got to next stop.... here you can pay to jet ski for 5 minutes, swim or lay on the beach.... we had 30 minutes. 3:40 we got to another beach but we're only given 15 minutes...mind you it takes at least 10 for 75 people to get off the boat. 4pm we reached the last stop where we finally got the lunch that was included in the tour. That's 8 1/2 hours you wait for lunch. I think it's intentional because when you get on the bus they tell you lunch isn't until 4 and then give you a menu to buy food, which you really have no choice but to do at that point. 5 pm to 10pm we driving home and drop offs. That's 10 hours on a bus or waiting around and really only about 2 hours total on the beach.... oh and they charge for life vest....on a boat. While the locations were beautiful I don't recommend this tour. By the time we reached the locations I had a headache from all the hassle it took to get there. Also, the tour guide barely interpreted anything to English even though she spoke it so we were often just lost.

A lot of partying

The bus was great. We were about 2 hours late getting there because of traffic and several hours late getting home - again mainly because of traffic. We got home at around 01:30-02:00, and we were the first to get off the bus. Except from the traffic, we waited for maybe 45 minutes after getting off the boat (the walk was 5 minutes). We were waiting for a drunk dude who, when he finally came to the bus, had forgotten his bag on the boat, so we left without him. The boat ride itself was pretty fun, but it was definitely like a party boat. I probably would not recommend for children or if you are simply looking to have a chill or quiet day. We rented snorkeling gear, but it was quite difficult to see anything at the lagoons, because so many boats, people and anchors were tearing up the sand bottom. We did get to see a lot of fish, because someone brought fish food.

This is not an activity I enjoyed for several reasons: - It takes too long to get there from Rio de Janeiro. We spent about 2 hours picking up people around the city. - The boat was over-crowded and so if you are looking for a small group activity, this is not it. The boat also got a bit wet but this is partly due to the rainy weather. - There was loud music and you had to talk loud to be heard. - The food/lunch is served at 4pm on the last stop on an island which is a bit late. The company does tell you this though. It was okay. Other than that, you get to visit several islands and beaches and swim with pretty fish. Also, it rained when we went which made it worse but I cannot blame the company for that.

Great boating experience

We were picked up in a luxury bus, there was a lot of travel on this trip so this made it very comfy. The boat was a real treat to, an old world wooden boat to ship us around to the islands. It was essentially a party boat with very loud music. The islands and beaches were great, enjoyed the experience.

Not as described. Bus took 4.5 hrs to get to Angra dos Reis from pick up. Boat was overcrowded with loud booming "club" music. Lunch was in a cafe on the beach not on the boat. Uncovered food swarming with flies 🤢. No safety instructions given un English on the boat. Not recommended

The trip was generally good, however the food was terrible and “lunch” was not served until 4pm. Also, drinks are not included, our guide did not speak English and explained nothing in English unless we asked (and then it was poor), there was only one beach stop for half an hour and the journey was over 2 hours longer than we expected. That said, the staff were excellent and the trip was generally enjoyable. The island and scenery were beautiful. It’s a long day with minimal interaction with the beach.

Angra dos Reis is about 160 km away from Rio de Janeiro, so each trip takes about 3 hours, as described in the description. Ilha Grande is a place with beautiful beaches and lagoons and because it is an island it has a simpler infrastructure. Due to these factors the food is usually local and, as said in the description of the tour, drinks are not included. As the tour is conducted on a schooner, it is not allowed to stop near the beach, but we have a support boat to make the trip, and we also have stops at lagoons. Disappointing, however beautiful area. The description noted small group tour. This was a full size bus load to start that then joins another 3-4 full size bus loads that all then get on the boat. It was cram packed with people so if you are looking for a smaller group, there are other tours out there we found that would better suit your needs. It is a full day tour and what really disappointed us was not getting the correct information either from the get go on if it was a bus ride down or a boat from Rio down. So the tour day was very disappointing but again, you will see some beautiful sights outside of Rio.

We had bad weather and it was cold, boat trip was nice, 3 stops to swim. Food on the boat was very good as well. Really well-organized experience. The bus picked us up from under our hotel and then we reached the starting point where we took the boat to go around the lagoons. Passeio de baixo de chuva. Guia sem a menor preocupação ou cuidado com os passageiros e principalmente com a idosa que estava comigo e meu marido. Tripulação da escuna idem. Tripulantes fumando dentro da escuna. E minha mãe tem 86 anos e todos sem nenhuma preocupação ou respeito. Música muito alta e de péssimo gosto, inclusive com vários palavrões. E tinha criança no passeio. Cobertura com goteira e molhando o nosso lugar. Tivemos que enxugar o tempo todo. Ou seja um horror!! Não repito e não indico a ninguém. Atrasaram a retirada no hotel em mais de 1h. Se arrependimento matasse!! Eu sempre compro com a Civitatis e nunca tive problema! Viator nunca mais!
