    Golden Circle Chaos

    The places in Iceland are amazing but the experience was terrible, one could say chaotic. First, we booked an excursion at 9 am, they originally postponed it to 9:30, which is not ideal on a shore excursion but it is reasonable. The experience at port was extremely disorganized and chaotic: no signs. Had to call Viator who had no clue where tours guides were and oriented me to the complete opposite direction. When we finally founs the bus therewas chaos, no clarity of which bus to take. No guide knew this was organized by viator, everyone here was through Get Your Guide. Understandably so as the price there was almost 25% cheaper! People that were going on complete different route were on same bus. We ended up having to stop to offload those passengers and only left to our tour at 10:30. When we finally started the tour guide announced the itinerary and one main place was missing: the Kerid Crater. Upon questioning they said this was not included and only tours that leave at 8am have it (!?!?!). We felt rushed on all the stops with very limited time to explore, and times below was was advertised (e.g., 35 mins at the waterfall vs 45 mins) which made the whole experience feel rushed. Iceland is amazing and the places we did visit are worth seeing, but would NOT BOOK THIS TOUR. Find yourself a better and cheaper provider to do the full golden circle.

    The pick up process was very smooth. Love that the gods all had on yellow jackets so they were easy to find. It was a great excursion and a great guide.
