Itinerary

Your tour begins at your Porto hotel, where you’ll greet your guide and small-group, and travel to your first craft beer brewery. The family-run brewery produces craft beers on a small scale: speak to the owner and discover secrets regarding the raw materials and fermentation processes.

At the next brewery, you’ll see craft beer production on a larger scale. Allow the brewmaster to guide you through the production process and sample craft beers direct from the fermenter — a rare treat for craft beer lovers!

Finally, head to an ambient pub to sample three different types of craft beers. Sit with your guide and group, and when the tour concludes, choose to remain in the pub or continue exploring.

Fantastic tour of craft beer brewing and tasting!

I highly recommend this 4 hour guided tour. Our group of 6 had a super fun tour of the Savina brewery in Porto where the brew master walked us through their process for creating their craft beers. The tastings were great. We were then taken on a walking tour to two craft beer bars and again tasted fabulous craft beers. Our guide Diogo was fantastic! Since we live near Porto we will definitely repeat this experience with our friends and family when they visit.

We had a fantastic time with Diogo on our craft beer tour. My partner and I were the only ones booked on for our day and Diogo made it such a memorable experience. We visited Sovina brewery for an insight into Portugal's first craft brewery before trying some truly unique and delicious beers at two bars back in Porto. Diogo was excellent company, and felt like a friend by the end of the trip. He was incredibly accommodating and a very fun host. Porto might be the home of Port, but they have some bloody good beers too!
