This Premium tour was fantastic!! Van was nice, clean, comfortable. Excellent wineries & enjoyable boat tour in the beautiful Duoro Valley. Lunch at a local winery was fantastic!! One of the best things about this tour was our guide, Joel. Very informative & he was so entertaining!! I think we had the very best tour guide anyone could ask for!! A wonderful full day experience not to be missed!

Best excursion that we have ever taken! We have taken wine tours in various countries, but this was by far the best that we have experienced-our driver/tour guide/Sommelier/entertainer was fabulous! he was entertaining from the very beginning of our tour, but gave us great knowledge of how white, red and rosé wine is processed as he comes from a long line of wine producers. we visited three unique wineries, each had something very special. I boat tour on the Douro River was also incredible.. Highly highly recommend!

We were given good details about the pick up location, we had no confusion about this. We were picked up on time and our guide Ruy was so nice and knowledgeable. The wine tasting experience was brilliant, both wineries offered some lovely wines to taste paired with bread, oil and chocolate. The lunch we received was very good. The river cruise was so scenic. Overall it was a lovely day and our guide Ruy was brilliant :)

The seven-person van ride was great and the meeting place was easy to find. Our driver/guide, João, was very personable and made sure that all of his guests were comfortable. The hosts at each of the two small wineries were very welcoming and, where necessary, João helped with the translation. Lunch was very tasty and plentiful—nothing too outlandish. The river ride was quite relaxing and gorgeous. Highly recommended, and I have been on three other tours with other operators.

Exceptional experience. It was wonderful having a small group (only 8 of us). Great local visits with great wines. Our tour guide Andre was absolutely brilliant - he is a wine maker himself and knew everything about the region. He filled the day with great stories and tidbits. I would highly recommend this tour.

I loved this wine tour as they picked smaller vineyards, each who shared a different and unique story and delivered a difference wine tasting experience all together. I think the lunch that was provided was ok (for vegetarian diet) but was hoping for a bit more substance - I would've even been ok with a standard baguette with cheese and tomatoes! The boat tour was beautiful but 1 hour just felt really long to see the same rolling hills, I much rather would have gone to a 3rd vineyard!

We had so much fun on our day long tour with our guide Juan. Excellent wine tastings at 2 gorgeous, smaller, family owned vineyards. Delicious lunch and a small group boat ride on the Douro River with amazing views of the surrounding terraced hills. Highly recommend this tour.

Douro cruise and wine tastings, a delightful experience!ic experience

It was a wonderful time! The only thing was that we couldn't sit on the front part of the boat because there were no side protectors and seats were soaked. If there were plastic-covered sides, people still could have gone to the front of the boat and taken pictures. Andre was our host and he's phenomenal! Lunch - amazing restaurant. Wine tastings were lovely; gracious hosts - very informative visits

Wow! Just Wow!

Our tour guide/driver Joāo was phenomenal. The day started early at the meeting point, and continued to the first of two wineries. The white house wine was wonderful, and the main ingredient of the vegetable and fruit jams that were served with the wonderful bread, olive oil, olives and olive tapenade were the secret quiz we had to solve. (The tour provider checks for food allergies during the booking process). We did solve all three secret ingredients, and moved on to red wine, and finally headed for a nice Douro river boat trip. The tour continued through the stunning Douro Valley to the second winery of the day, which also provided homemade wines of all kinds for tasting, besides a full home cooked lunch in the traditional cast iron pot in the main kitchen fire place with salad. The desserts were great! The lunch ended with another wonderful surprise by our tour guide João. Make sure you get him as a guide when you book, he is wonderful. The trip concludes with the drive back to Porto.

Without the rain there is no wine

Our guide Joao was very personable and helped our group get to know one another during the trip. He gave good explanations of grape cultivation and how the various wines are produced. Our wine tastings were good but after a while it was hard to distinguish one from another. I would have liked fewer tastings (or less wine per tasting). It was a rainy day so our boat cruise was not a good as it might have been. Overall a nice experience.

We had a wonderful day with Tito as our guide. He set the tone for the day really well, was knowledgeable and friendly. The first stop for ‘breakfast’ was in a beautiful location and the food and wine were delicious. The boat tour was relaxing. The highlight was a delicious wine tasting and lunch at Dora’s vineyard and then a tour - and some lunchtime entertainment from Tito and the other guide Joao. We were also with a nice group and it was nice to chat to people who had travelled from elsewhere. Definitely the highlight of our Porto trip.

Amazing experience. Slight mix up on arrival, wasn’t because of the tour but through Viator. The company fixed the issue right away and we had a great experience with our expert guide Andre’. Great day in the Douro

We shared a lovely day in the Douro Valley with Tiago last week. Everything worked perfectly from the 8 am pickup to the 6 pm drop-off. Tiago was a wonderful guide, the weather cooperated perfectly. The first winery was an immersive tasting in a vineyard with lovely views, delicious wines, olive oil and freshly baked breads. Lunch was yummy, followed by a relaxing river cruise and a final winery visit to Quinta de Tetro. Great day, thank you!

With Francesco we had a top guide, absolutely well speaking english. Top vinerys, best tasting vines. A lot of different vines, blanc, red and port. I was nervous to come on a tour, as I thought it would be poor value and commercial. I was completely wrong. The wineries we visited were small and intimate, the people inspiring and of course, the wines delicious. Lunch was plentiful and the valley was spectacular . Steep terraces

Such a beautiful valley. The terraces reminded me of Sapa Vietnam. The vineyards were so green and beautiful! The people are so proud of their land and have worked so very hard to keep their heritage going.
