- The confirmation voucher from Viator/Tripadvisor that you get upon booking is not valid for admission and will not be recognized by museum personnel. Kindly look in your email and WhatsApp for the official PDF ticket, which needs to be presented at the entrance.
- Entry will take place at the Museum Forecourt – 2 (Blue Zone), via the queue marked “Visitor with non time-stamped ticket.
- During high-traffic seasons, anticipate queues at security screenings. It's important to understand that your ticket does not grant priority access. During the most crowded times, getting in may take longer than normal. We suggest arriving at the museum a minimum of 2 hours before closing during peak season, ideally 3 hours, to guarantee admission.
- The Orsay Museum remains closed on Mondays, as well as on May 1 and December 25. The normal opening hours are from 9:30 AM to 5 PM with last entry at 4 PM. On Thursdays, the late opening fee is in effect for visits that begin at 6pm; the museum shuts its doors at 9:45pm, with the final entry allowed at 9pm.

- Ticket permits a single entry on your chosen date. You are free to remain for as long as desired, but reentry after exiting the museum is not allowed.

This is good way to get
Into the de Orsay and get past the lines. Would not pay extra for audio as it is a digital download to phone so you both need to have ear peices to hear. Museum audio is better to use.

It is difficult to book tickets for Musee d’Orsey for a next day -especially on a weekend. Viator made it possible.

The museum itself was brilliant.
The booking system through Viator was good, tickets arrived in time and operators were helpful.
The audiobook aspect was awful. The app is outdated, the audio does not exist for half of the sections either. I wouldn’t recommend getting the audio guide at all as it was a waste of money.

Normally my experience w Viator is great. However, Viator was unable to provide tickets or support or any response follow up. They offered a date that the museum was not open and when asked for a refund they sent my request elsewhere and have been radio silent on all reach outs on when I should hear a response or get a refund. Truly disappointed.

It was way overbooked, and the line to enter was 3 hours long. SO didn't have the time to wait. We asked for a refund, and they denied. DO NOT USE THIS TOUR OPERATOR.

Viator never sent tickets. The get tickets button took you to a page that said this is not your ticket and had 2 options. Download or email. The download option just downloaded a copy of the page that said it wasn't your ticket. The email option just sent another email with a button saying get your ticket. So you just went round in circles. They finally sent me an email just 1 hour before it was due to start that said I needed to log into my viator account to get my ticket. I have no viator account. I didn't need to create one when they wanted me to purchase from them in the first place. But even if I'd had an account, only sending the email just 1 hour before I was due at the museum is ridiculous. I was on the train trying to get into the city centre by that point and wouldn't have had wifi to receive the email anyway. I didn't actually see it until I got back to my hotel that night.e

The ticket works fine but the audio tour barley worked for me. Most of the stuff wouldn't play, the app is pretty glitchy. If you want an audio tour I would probably just go with the one you can purchase in the museum.

Direct tickets were sold out so we opted to book through this site. We utilized Rick Steves audio tour since this one didn’t get good reviews. We booked the night before and had no issues. Line was much shorter than if we’d arrived without tickets.

Having this ticket allowed us to skip waiting in any measurable line. When museum reservations/tickets were otherwise sold out, this was our only option. The “free” audio app was a bust (too many technical glitches for everyone in our group -and we’re very tech savvy). Viator was unhelpful in trying to resolve it. The museum's audio headsets were excellent at EURO6.5

The museum was good but the audio was terrible. Don’t waste your money on this self guided tour. The Audio was downloaded in separate files and the names did not match the rooms we visited so couldn’t use them.

That it was not easy to get information. When I spoke to someone on the chat and told her I was unable to download the link she told me to read about how to download a pdf. I know how to download a pdf, I do it all the time for my job. I only got the help I needed when I called the 718 number and that woman contacted the tour group in Paris and had them send the link to my What’s App account. She was very helpful.

The Orsay and Orangerie were sold out during our last weekend in Paris. Without Viator we wouldn’t have been able to visit them. We also got the tickets upgraded so we could use it any day in the next 12 months in case we missed our timeslot. Great service !

The downloadable app was terrible - it couldn't provide appropriate directions and the sound wouldn't work. Don't waste your time or money. All you need is an entrance ticket and then you can purchase a much cheaper, better quality audio guide in the Museum.

I bought two tickets WITH audio tour. When we arrived and showed our tickets we were told I had NOT purchased the audio upgrade. I had to pay an additional 12 Euros. Now, either you ripped me off or the Museum ripped me off. Either way I got ripped off with someone taking advantage of me. So how was my experience? What do you think?

Don’t buy this tour. The audio tour is through a downloaded app not the official museum audio. Buy a different timed ticket that includes the museum audio. It is easier to use and provides more complete information.

Museum is outstanding with incredible works of art! Easy to walk and view everything as Paris Museums are wonderful. The only problem with this Viator offering is the audio part is confusing as it is an online service, thus every person needs a phone to receive the audio. That issue is poorly explained and the tour operators English is poor thus hard to know how this offering is executed.

Viewing the art work was wonderful. Not waiting in line to enter was worth having tickets prior to coming.
The audio portion was unattainable once we were on our way. The directions kept saying to use the QR code but I was unable to locate it. All 8 of us did not have audio which was disappointing.
