It was very educational, Andrea was AMAZING! They were fun and playful, and made it so much more enjoyable for us all. I honestly wanted to ride the bike more, that was the best part. But I’d recommend this tour, it was very interesting and definitely ask for Andrea!
Our guide Gustavo was incredibly knowledgeable about Versailles and the political details surrounding the period it encompassed in history.
He was engaging and helpful with our questions and speaks English well.He also recommended an excellent brasserie for dinner after the tour!
Our car was a Mercedes black sprinter(?) van I think /very nice and comfortable.
Lovely experience and we recommend highly.
This was a great way to tour the gardens. We did most of the day in golf carts moving from one garden to the next. There was a little tram that transported us midway. Others did the bikes. We walked the farm area on our own. At the end of the tour our guide gave us instructions on touring the building. So much to see and so little time. I would do this again.
Lots of walking, the grounds are huge and you cover a lot of ground quickly to get to the scheduled time to enter the palace. Our guide should have attached her microphone closer to her mouth as she has a very strong French accent and is soft spoken. The grounds are incredibly well maintained and the palace worth seeing. If Jeanine had spoken louder or held the microphone to her mouth so I and my friends could hear; it would have been perfect.
Versailles is an iconic piece of French history. Andreas was knowledgeable and shared his knowledge in a down to earth, entertaining way. With only 5 in our group, we all had a chance to ask our questions. The property and building are beautiful, but you will walk many miles and be overloaded with the opulence by the time you are finished.
Wonderful way to experience the beauty of Versailles gardens.
Cedric was the best! His knowledge of French history made our trip so enjoyable. During our walk to the train we also got a nice historical walking tour through that part of Paris. The bike tour through Versailles was awesome. Loved the opportunity to see so much and again Cedric’s commentary made the trip perfect. We had a leisurely lunch in the shade by the Grand Canal before we rode to explore more of the gardens and pirate buildings. I had been to Versailles before and took the train through the gardens, but missed so much of what we experienced on this tour. I would give it a 10 of that was on the scale!
While many people spend an entire day in Versailles, you’ll be able to see a fair bit of its historical attractions in only half a day, particularly if you sign up for a half-day tour of Versailles that will show you the highlights efficiently, often with the support of a guide. For added time-saving convenience, tours usually include skip-the-line access to the palace and gardens, and some include round-trip transportation from Paris, too.
