What a great day. Private tour with a local chef who knows everything about Palermo. Walked the city and stopped at some amazing sites then ate great food in the market at local street vendors and the oldest pub. He was so knowledgeable and knew where to go. Highly recommended

Fulvio was so knowledgeable and fun! His expertise on the history of Palermo and it’s cuisine was impressive. We tasted and learned so much and our tour with Fulvio was a highlight of our time in Sicily. Highly recommend!

Our guide was Fulvio, a chef who also does cooking experiences in his own home, so was well versed in how good Sicilian food should be. Fulvio was a great guide, friendly and laid back. We did quite a bit of walking but was at a fairly gentle pace and the chatting made the time fly! We sampled a variety of street food including arancini, panelle, sfincione and croquettes. My favourite was the ricotta & herb sandwich. We also had the chance to try the famous spleen & lung sandwich - my husband was eager to try this, but I was not! After some encouragement I am proud to say that I did try it! I particularly enjoyed visiting the market, seeing ricotta being made and watching the stall holders shouting in the traditional way to draw attention to their wares. The tour ended with a stop at a gelateria which was amazing. We even went back for more gelato the next day. Along the way Fulvio shared some stories about the history of some of the famous monuments in Palermo and we got to have a look inside a couple of pretty churches and a gallery of the work of a local sculptor as well as seeing the original city doors. This gave us a great taste of the city and Fulvio recommended some places we should explore if we had time. After telling him we struggled to find good tea in Sicily he told us about a Chinese tea shop which which turned out to be a great recommendation! A good length tour and being in the morning left us the afternoon to explore more. The only thing to note was that the meeting point mentioned on our booking (a pharmacy) no longer exists, but if you go to the address listed you will be in the right place, we had no problems. We arrived early and Fulvio was already there. Thank you!

We had a great time on this tour. The guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about the area and the food markets. We tasted all different kinds of food and had a nice lunch at a local spot. A lot of walking but the pace was slow enough that we didn't notice how far we had walked.

Roby showed me the back streets of Palermo that you wouldn't normally get to see if you were on your own. I tried all of the foods presented to me and loved getting a chance to see and talk to the food and store holders. This was a great experience and definitely one that I will never forget!

Upon arriving at our designated meeting point, the dress and other details didn't seem to match. We noticed this gentleman standing at the specified location so we approach him and walla! Fulvio. He was apologetic for the misinformation on the website and ticket and assured us that it had been updated. We're off. He led us thru many side streets and food stands. We got a very good understanding of Palermo history and food. As it turns out, he is a private chef who does cooking and classes at his apartment. We experienced a number of traditional Sicilian street foods - except the spleen sandwich - and learned a great deal about Fulvio and the city. All in all a great day. Well worth the time and expense.

Our guide went put of her way to accommodate our requests. It is a scenic tour including 2 lively markets which happen to be in the center of the old town.

A perfect introduction to the street foods of Palermo with Fulvio, a very knowledgable and charming guide. He provided us with a lot of Italian cultural awareness as well. Highly recommended!

Amazing street food walking tour in Palermo. Fulvio made us feel ike family while touring beautiful historic centre of Palermo, the amazing Ballaro market and other must-see sites and other less well-known location (however also very beautiful and interesting). The tour included delicious local food (quality and quantity), great gelato, and local beer. Altogether excellent value for money. Thank you and grazie to Fulvio for the great time in Palermo. Would highly recommend this tour to friends and family.

I booked this tour for 5 June but the operator cancelled it as they said they did not take solo bookings, but they did take my money. Although they promised a refund after cancellation, I have never received it., so i was not only disappointed to not have the tour on my first day in Palermo but I am also out of pocket for £49.28.

Fulvio was a great guide and this tour was only me and two other people so it felt more like a morning wander with a couple of friends. We saw the historic centre of Palermo and Fulvio took us to some of the more obscure but beautiful churches. The tour included some local food and wine and fortified wine and was good value for money when you take that into consideration.

Loved this tour, we had a short but fun walking tour to start the evening with lots of local facts. Then stopped for great street food and wine. Great way to start our trip.

We booked this tour after reading some reviews - and we were not disappointed! There were 7 in our group and our guide, Fulvio, was absolutely charming. We went through markets and he pointed out historical places throughout- we even had the chance to go into some of the churches.
Fulvio was so laidback and easy - he wanted to make sure we all had a great experience- and he added wine to enhance the tour!
The food was wonderful- arancina, artichokes, deep fried cauliflower and more - so good! Thankfully we got to walk after eating as we were all stuffed and after a bit made space for gelato ;)
Would highly suggest this tour and especially our guide, Fulvio di Cicero!

We had a great time, my husband and I and another couple. We are vegetarian but still had masses to eat, we had a lot of fun and got a lot of info both on the food and on the City. We usually do a food tour whatever city we are in as it explains the food and gives a good insight into the city.

Great opportunity to experience authentic Palermo Street Food! Tried many different kinds of street food and food I would never think to try myself! Enjoyed seeing the Palermo Street Market and watching the locals in their every day routines.

This tour was fantastic. Our tour guide, Georgio, gave us a great guide with the history, culture and life of Palermo. We were part of a small group, only one other couple, which was very personal and made for a great time. Georgio was was such a good sport sharing his love of the street food.
