Tour old Palermo and the market.

This tour is more focused on history than sampling of food. We visited fountains, churches, the archive building, a square and the market. In the market we sampled two items, a deep fried chickpea flat bread and an arancinii and selected from an orange or pomegranate juice. Then at the end of the tour we selected from a gelato or a cannelloni.

Fun tour with an excellent tour guide, Dominic, with a great sense of humor. Good food selections. Walked through the Ballaro Market. Loved the arancine, the pecorino cheese with pistachios, the fresh squeezed juices, and the OLIVES! They are huge! Fresh crusty bread with chickpea fried into rectangles sprinkled with lemon juice, called panelles. It was all so delicious! Highly recommend!

First off a massive thank you to Domenico. Me and my partner had a fantastic tour around Palermo. The tour was very informative and joy to be part of. We especially loved learning about the history of the city. Walking around churches with such beauty and cultural significance. To a vibrant walk around the old market to try some of Palermo's most interesting and delicious foods. A special mention to the arancini.
