Christian was at the port on time and messaged us that he was there. He welcomed us to the comfortable van. He helped us in and out of the van at each stop. Christian had an incredible itinerary and he was spot on with timing suggestions. He would stop at an interesting place and describe the incredible place or group of things we could see there with fantastic directions then suggest an amount of time then let us explore. As we returned to the van, he would be looking for us and coming closer to guide us back to the van He would ask how we liked the places. He tailed his choices of stops to the things we liked. I saw the inside of 3 incredible churches. His knowledge of history and Palermo/Sicilian culture made driving from one interesting place to another so filled with enriching information. He knows a little bit about every topic and can connect with each person in the vehicle. He never "just kept talking" to finish some narrative. He always keened in to who was listening and connected to us directly. Even when he had shown us most of the things on the itinerary, he mentioned seeing an old palace that is now a park which we loved. He stopped before the port to show us the oldest trees in Sicily just because we were enjoying that last few minutes with him so much!!! In this city I was overwhelmed with choices that I just didn't make a list of things to see. I was worried on that morning that I had let myself down by not messaging the company my must sees. Turns out this was the most relaxing day of our cruise because I felt seen, heard and understood by Christian and his choices of incredible places to see!! Lunch in Mondello made the day over the top.

We visited Monreale , Palermo and Mondello. We loved all of them specially Mondello , which is the most beautiful town , we had lunch in Mondello, in my opinion one of the best food in Sicily

Humberto was an awesome driver! He knew so much about the history of the city and surrounding areas! You had enough time in each area to walk around and enjoy the sites. Both towns are very small and you really only need an hour in each. Mondello was an amazing beach town and we brought our bathing suites to swim in the bay and it was awesome!

Fabulous tour with guide CHRISTIAN. Picked up promptly at hotel with a spotlessly clean van. Exceedingly knowledge and narrated clearly in English the history, architecture, parks of Palermo, Monreale, Modelo. Pace of tour excellent. Leisurely stops to tour each site. Really in depth tour and shared current events as well. 2 hours in Mondelo for leisurely lunch, free time. I was immensely pleased with Christian and this tour. Highly recommend Christian as he is really passionate about his job and sharing Palermo's amazing history.

This tour provided the expected amount of transportation, but other than that, was completely underwhelming. Tour driver/guide was not very familiar with detailed history of sites, did not accompany me into the sites (is that Viator policy?), ended the tour earlier than the advertised time of 7 to 8 hours, and did not drive me to some nearby sites mentioned by me that were on the route and before the advertised tour end time. Once the driver ended the tour and dropped me off at the port, I walked back to these Palermo sites on my own. To the positive, the driver/guide was friendly, was flexible in the amount of time allowed at each site, and was always ready to pick me up at the agreed-upon location, even though I was late once or twice, communicating status/location via WhatsApp. The driver/guide offered on several occasions to stop for photos, which we did -- appreciated. Driver met me at the port with no issues. Tour highlight, other than the major cathedrals, was the public beach and nearby restaurants out past the WWII monument. These were completely enjoyable and unexpectedly delightful! Loved this aspect of the Palermo-Sicily experience. Fortunately, had read the history of Sicily ahead of time!

Hi, i m sorry for your experience , this tour does not include a local historical guide available, as written in the inclusions (it would cost at least double what you paid), a driver who speaks English but who cannot enter the monuments is included, who cannot leave the van unattended. he respected all the deadlines and all the scheduled stages, going outside of his duties taking photos etc. the tour lasted seven hours, we are always cautious when it comes from a cruise ship. As you can see from the numerous positive reviews, the service was done as it should have been done, if you had other expectations, perhaps you got the wrong type of service, there are options with a local historical guide to accompany you inside the monuments. We do hundreds of these tours, we have never had any problems or complaints, we do everything we can to please our customers and so far it has worked. you had expectations that were beyond our reach or certainly beyond our understanding.

Wonderful experience. Humberto our guide was easy going and very knowledgeable of the area we visited. He dropped us off at each stop and allowed us to take as much time as we needed visiting. He was always there at the pickup point when we were done. I am very glad we chose Viator rather than the limited options on our cruise ship. Great Job!

My granddaughter Julia and I enjoyed the tour with Cristian very much. He gave us a thorough historical overview of Palermo and Monreale. The seaside town of Mondello was lovely and we enjoyed our lunch in the warm sunshine. Cristian was always a gentleman and responsive to our questions.

The tour is a little bit too long, the tour guide is good, but we have to pay the entrance fee to the Church, even though it is not expensive, but we paid above $500 for the tour, so the tour should cover the entrance fees. The tour to Mondello was not that impressive. The tour should be shorter and less expensive. We have longer tour in Milan and less expensive and cover all the entrance fees to the Church.

hi, you booked a private and exclusive tour with Van, driver and guide for the whole day, not a collective tour perhaps on foot, that costs €40, if it seemed too long there was the option of about half a day tour for half the price, to visit Palermo a week is not enough, 7 hours seemed too much to you, our prices for the service offered are absolutely competitive. Regarding tickets, we work with tourists of all religions, why charge entrance fees for mostly Catholic churches that perhaps they don't want to visit? Then it is written that food and tickets are not included. Regarding Mondello I don't know what you expected, people pay millions for houses, it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Sicily, the photos speak for themselves and it is almost impossible to find a place. However, your review will help us a lot in our work, it allows us to better understand our service.

belle journée guide local très bien nous as bien détaillée les visites surtout la cathédrale de Montréal et notre chauffeur excellent serviable découvertes de lieu typique repas pris a la plage glaces briocha dans le centre ville.conseil sur la vie locale.A heure pour nous prendre a l hôtel.

Le matin réception à l hôtel direction Montréal avec notre guide visite détaillée puis tour de ville repas pris à la plage de montello .Retour au centre ville ou notre chauffeur nous à fait découvrir une bonne glace briacia il nous a offert de l eau fraîche tous au long de la journée .information sur la vie dans cette belle ville.merci à Christian !
