Interesting trip to see the temples. The tour added an additional stop for food and bathroom break at a very scenic overlook. The drivers are organized and pleasant. The tour takes place in minivans so you are in a small group. There is an additional charge for a tour guide at the temple ruins. It was definitely worth the additional funds to learn more about the temples. Would recommend this tour as a way to travel to this location without needing to rent a car. Our driver Salvatore was very pleasant. Always checking to make sure we were OK.

It was advertised as an English speaking driver and tour information. The driver didn’t speak to us at all. We choose to do the valley independently we were not given a clear meet back time or location even after asking. Thankfully we met up with others from the journey up and we all put together bits of information to work out collection time and location. It was pretty stressful and took away from the day. Felt sorry for one couple who got shouted at for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I would recommend anyone going to scilly see the valley of temples but perhaps this particular tour is finding thier feet abit atm
The trip you pay for is basically a shuttle service. Only the trip is paid for. If you want a guided tour that is extra and you also pay for the entry ticket. So all in all it adds up! That said, the driver was pleasant and the guide very good. You can also do the exploring on your own or with an audio guide. Well organized and a fantastic experience to see the temples.
Easy and smooth travel day. On time transportation. Used just for transportation to Valley of the Temples and Turkish Steps from Palermo. Tickets to Valley of the Temples were purchased separately
Excellent day trip. The van driver was safe and never in a rush. The temperature in the van and the seats were perfect. It was a comfortable ride and once we arrived, we had plenty of time to explore the temple of kings.
Our experience visiting Taormina was very interesting and easy going.
The pick up point was in front of the famous theatre in Palermo so it was very easy to find it and drivers were very friendly and helpfull in manadging our questions.
It really is only a shuttle bus to Agrigento and Scala dei Turchi, but our driver Baco made that 2 h long drive to and back through bussy and fast Italian traffic very much worth the price. During the trip we stopped for a cup of coffe which was very nice around half way into the trip and back.
When we arrived at Agrigento, we picked up our tour guide which explained to us the prices and possibilities. Every one in our group took the tour with her and it was 30€ each, payed to her in cash. Tickets could have been bought online or in our case on the site. The tour was very interesting, guid was very knowledgable about temples and was ready to answer our questions. The tour itself lasted about an hour and a half ant wasn't difficult but the sun in the open plain drains you quickly.
Usefull tip: if you are traveling with young people by the age 26 they pay half the price, and also if you are a teaher and present a teachers card you have an entrance for free.
On our way back we stopped half an hour on a sighting point to take pictures from Scala dei Turchi and headed back.
Overall amazing trip and i highly recommand it
The Valley of Temples was amazing, but the drive from Palermo was excruciatingly long. Be prepared for a long day.
The valley of the temples at Agrigento is definitely worth visiting the Greek architecture is breath taking and the ruins are in very good shape
The Valley of the Temples was very interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable. On the whole a worthwhile tour
The visit to the valley of the temples was fantastic! As outlined in the description you are only paying for the transport to the site - a very comfortable air conditioned 9 seater van. It was hot so this was perfect. On arrival you pay the site entry fee and you have the option to pay for a guide which I highly recommend. The guide was very knowledgeable. The driver for the day was friendly and helpful.
The site was incredible and a must visit for vacationers to Sicily to see these monuments. Our guide Filippo was amazing and took care of us well.
We booked this tour a couple of days before as we couldn't find direct trains to Agrigento from Palermo and really wanted to go.
We knew from previous reviews that this was mainly a transport service, but we were happy to use this tour to visit.
The meeting point was beside the famous Palermo Theatre and all went smoothly.
It's a long drive each way, but once out of the busy centre of Palermo the scenery is stunning.
Once at the ruins you had the choice of walking around yourself or doing a guided tour with a tour guide who came onto our bus.
There was no pressure to take the guided tour, but we did and our tour guide was excellent and we felt it was well worth doing.
It was €30 per person on the day to add the tour and was about two hours long.
We stopped at some impressive cliffs on the journey back.
We found the tour to be a good choice for visiting Agrigento from Palermo.
The ruins are very impressive.
Our whole group were on a large and comfortable coach for this tour.
Thanks, from the Irish couple.
Had a wonderful day touring the Valley of the temples. We travelled to and from Palermo with our guide and driver Sergio, whom was very friendly and courteous. He did excellent handling our large group. It was a great day !
This tour only includes transport. Entrance fee and an excellent local guide cost extra.
The archaeological site is superb and a must when visiting the area.
Very comprehensive & fun trip. Salvatore was our driver & was very friendly & helpful. I'm going on another of their trips tomorrow so would definitely recommend. 😁
This was effectively a shuttle ride with little to no tour. There were multiple overpriced add-ons to the trip that were less and less desirable.
At one point the driver was asked to slow down due to aggressive driving and a very rough ride due to poor suspension and high speeds.
One other person in the 8 person passenger van also commented if we were in an F1 race.

I traveled in a 3 van convoy with approximately 24 people our driver John his boss Mario and one other driver. Is important to understand that the fee you pay is for transportation only. Our driver John was a professional when it came to getting us from point A to point B, he did a great job for what he was paid for. His English was just ok and spoke more French than English. Once at the venue I paid an extra 30 euros for a private (10 people) tour which was in English and exceptional and everyone paid 17 euros to gain access to the venue. The vans were new and clean and Mercedes Benz makes. I think Jon could have done a better job explaining what was going to happen so we could be more coordinated and maybe talked about where we were passing thru but over all did his job very well. I would highly recommend this tour for others with the understanding, which is highlighted in the tour description prior to paying, that its transportation you’re paying for. Ciao!
This was a simple excursion to the Valley of the Temples and the Turkish Steps. No guides provided, which is what we prefer. Once we arrived at the Temples, we were offered a guided tour, an audio tour, or to explore the area on our own. We chose the audio tour which provided a small audio player. The player was small and a little hard to hear if crowds were around. Headphones were not provided, so you will need to provide your own. Afterward we drove to the Turkish Steps. This was a viewing from an overlook and provided great views of the white cliffs and Mediterranean Sea.
The travel time to Agrigento and back took approximately 2.5 hours with a pit stop along the way. Our driver was very professional and pointed out interesting items along the way. Definitely recommend it if you want a simple way to visit these historical sites from Palermo.
Underwhelming visit. Would have helped if there is some commentary to make it interesting.
The drivers are polite and friendly. Timely departure and arrival greatly appreciated.
Lots of ancient ruins. Beautiful views of the Mediterranean and Agrigento. Lots of walking. Great tour. I would definitely recommend this tour.
I'm glad I went; the van was good and the driver was efficient. I think the advertised tour could make a bigger point about the fact that this is just a drive and includes nothing at the site. Perhaps the cost of the tour guide we were introduced to and the entrance fee should be mentioned in the Viator website.
The Valley of the Temples is such a wonderful place to immerse yourself in the ancient world. The Scala dei Turchi is a break from old world but what nature can bring to you with refreshing vibes. Marco is also a very kind driver and guide who is flexible on time and easy going. Two 👍👍 up
Great group traveling to stage to, wonderful experience. Driver, guide Sergio was prompt, professional and personable, charming.
We had such fun singing Italian classics on the drive back through the countryside! Highly recommend Sergio as a guide, driver. Wonderful!!
The trip was very rewarding as the Temples were amazing to see. It was a lot of time in a bus but that was the only way to see it efficiently. The guide Michael was great and informative whennneeded
Our driver, Alessio, was fantastic! He ensured he was attentive to his guests, spoke English, played great music, was very happy to accommodate his passengers. He was always trying his best to make everyone happy with the experience!
The site itself is nice to walk through. However, the driver did not speak a single word of English. He was on the phone all the way having an obvious issue with someone. At the site his lack of mental logic made him having a hard time communicating the pick-up at the end of the site walk. Because of that, two individuals arrived 45 minutes late. In addition, Agrigento???? What does it have to do with the Valley of Temples??? We did not visit Agrigento. Why putting it in the title???. VERY POOR TOUR OPERATOR. It should be delisted from Viator.
The tour guide was difficult to understand; they did not give clear instructions on where to meet the bus after the visit to the Valley of the Temples. We passed a couple of Castles en route to the Valley of the Temples; The guide shared no information during the 4-hour bus trip out and back. His main job appeared to be taking a head count. I would take the train and do this trip solo next time. A tour guide needs to learn the history of the tour that he is guiding.
A Sicilian traffic jam and our driver expertly detoured past the stopped traffic and we had a nice jaunt through several small seemingly sleepy towns. Dario was friendly and extremely knowledgeable and fit in a few extra stops as we had some time. Agrigento is so well preserved and impressive. A must see.
Did not deliver what was advertised. It was expensive for what we got. We did not go the archeological museum for an hour which was advertised. The coffee break in Agregento was a stop at a petrol station. We did not get a mini bus. We deliberately booked a tour with a small number of people, we ended up on a big bus.
Enzo and his driver were excellent!!! Very professional, great comments, good sense of humor and on-time... Bravo Enzo😎!!!
