This was our best experience in Osaka with our brilliant guide, Mayura Kai. Very knowledge local, former chef and restaurant owner. Great English, friendly, well paced and delicious food everywhere we went. An excellent lunch and an incredible wander through the most expansive and best basement department food hall we have ever seen. Highly recommended.

Loys was fantastic. He took both of our unique and individual preferences into account when selecting stops on the tour. The conversion was great and so was the food. He even took extra time to help us find a store we had been looking for. It was a wonderful experience and he is an awesome guide. Thank you Loys!

Fun and delicious!

Five star experience! Our guide, Taiga, kindly met us at our hotel instead of the designated meeting place, and from there, we went on a tailored food tour based on our dietary preferences and the areas we were interested in seeing. Taiga was also thoroughly entertaining and very friendly. We learned that he is very well traveled, and we had an excellent time hanging out with him, learning about the places we visited, and experiencing delicious Osaka cuisine.

Maria was absolutely amazing. She taught us things, explained the foods we were eating and took us to so many fun places. We ate so much food and she pivoted based on what we liked and wanted to do. Amazing food day, Osaka

We met Maria in a bus lane vibrant neighborhood in Osaka. Maria was friendly and inviting felt instantly comfortable. We had a great time all evening exploring the city, different restaurants and amazing food. Brilliant “rent a bestie” tour.

We spent our time in Osaka with Maria. She was fabulous! What a warm, lovely and knowledgeable guide. Imagine being able to “rent a bestie” to show you around their home town- and it’s pretty much what the tour felt like. The tour was tailored to what we wanted to see and eat- which was exactly what we wanted and Maria was flexible too through the time we were together, so if something popped up we wanted to have a look at, she was happy to help. Definitely worth doing if you’re in Osaka.

Maria reached out to me the day after I signed up for this tour and the first one to reach out to me when I signed up for several tours in Japan. She wanted to know right away the food preferences we have so she could customize it. Now this is such customer service reaching out to client immediately! I love that she took us to places where locals eat and provided some background information. It was great getting to know the food stops and sharing food with her. This was certainly a yummy adventure!

Great tour with Fumiko

Fumiko is terrific. Fed us till we were stuffed. Included a city tour. Even helped us get onto a train so we could get back to Kyoto without messing up. Speaks English beautifully. Fun, funny, a true delight.
