    Noemi was a great guide. We could have used a little more time in Pompeii and less time in Herculaneum. Due to weather and how late the driver was in picking us up, we never got to Mount Vesuvius. The subcontractor of Viator also charged us 140 Euros extra for a pickup, which was inadequately communicated to us. I would not recommend this tour unless you are sure you have all your information clearly documented and are sure what your total costs will be.

    Dearest Barbara, thank you for taking time to write us a feedback. We are always happy to know about your opinion, being it a great improving opportunity. We just need to clarify the situation in the respect of all the potential future guests. On the 16th of May you booked our tour "Private tour to Pompeii, Hercumaneum and Vesuvius" that includes the pick up within 10 km radius, it is clearly specified in the product detail. You selected the pick up at Grand Hotel Cesare Augusto in Sorrento, that's 100km round trip far from Napoli. On the same day you submitted the booking, I sent you a message on the Viator chat advising about the extra charge that was €120 and not €140 as you wrote. The date of the tour was 31th of May so I advised 15 days in advance and we had a long conversation we can testify with the pictures. I took also the opportunity to reconfirm all the inclusions and exclusions to avoid any confusion, asking you if you already purchased Vesuvius tickets and you confirmed you already booked all the tickets entrance. On the day of the tour there was an accident on the road and the driver was late but the tour leader reached the hotel on time taking care of you durig the waiting. The road in Sorrento and Amalfi coast is one way so, in case of accident that is not something predictable, there is not change to skip the traffic. About the Vesuvius, 31th of May was rainy and foggy and for security reason, the Vesuvius is not open. The main reason why you did not visited the volcano is that you didn't have the tickets entrance, something our professional tour leader suddenly checked in the morning. we have clearly explained all aspects of the service out of honesty in our work and out of respect for any reader.     Luca was a wonderful driver. He shared a lot of helpful and interesting information with us. He was flexible with our plans, recommended a wonderful restaurant for our lunch, was always available to adjust to our schedule. He has a great sense of humor.     To see Pompeii Herculaneum and Vesuvius the best solution is to take a car with a driver and a guide. I also took a French speaking guide because I was traveling with my grandson! It was great: the timing, the people and the places that are superb... you absolutely have to go to Vesuvius because there is a climb on foot that offers a sublime view of the sea of the islands of the city and the mountains: especially do not miss
