Itinerary

Begin your morning or afternoon tour in Piazza Plebiscito, where you’ll join up with your expert guide. Head first to the the Royal Palace of Naples, one of the four residences used by Bourbon Kings.

Travel next to the Teatro di San Carlo, the oldest opera house in Europe. From there, cross the street to the Galleria Umberto I, an impressively-sized shopping gallery dating back to the 19th century.

Head to the Castel Nuovo, one of the city’s most significant landmarks in Piazza Municipio. Learn about the 13th-century castle from your guide as you admire the exterior.

Afterward, stroll past the cloisters, churches, monuments, and palaces located in the historic center of Naples. Learn the stories behind each architectural gem, and then head to Piazza del Gesu to see the Church of Jesus and Monastery of St Chiara.

Journey along Spaccanapoli, buzzing with activity. Cutting straight through the historic center, the colorful street is one of the three east-west streets of the original Greco-Roman city of Neapolis.

Your tour finishes at either Piazza del Gesu or Piazza Carita.

Anna was very friendly. She met us at the stated time. We couldn't find her at first so she video called us on whatsapp. The walking tour was very interesting and informative. There were only the two of us and Anna, so we essentially had a private tour with plenty of opportunities for questions and chat about Naples and the local area. There was quite a lot of walking in the heat, but my Dad managed at 76yrs old!

Anna was so full of history and interesting knowledge about Naples! My family (including a 12 and 14 year old) walked with her all around the old part of the city. I would definitely recommend doing this tour because (a) it is private and you can ask any and all questions and (b) it gives you a great overview so you can decide where you want to explore later in your trip. Naples was intimidating when we first arrived but after exploring it, we enjoyed the life of the city a lot. We never felt scared. I would highly recommend allowing Anna to introduce you to her city!

We had a great tour. Anna made sure we saw lots of sights and got as much detail as we wanted. The sidewalks and streets were very crowded, but that did not rush the tour. Even when our time would have been over, she kept going. Highly recommend, learned a lot and got a good sense of the city the day we arrived.

This walking tour was fantastic! The meeting point was a little confusing- it was listed as a piazza with no further directions. But we called and were able to get in touch and find the tour guide. She was very friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend this tour for your first day in Naples!

A Learning Experience

Had someone showed up to guide the 10 am tour this would have been rated excellent. After we finally contacted the tour operator, with the help of another guide, we were told of a problem caused by a strike.(the square was filled with other groups with tour guides) We was invited to join the afternoon tour, which we accepted. Turns out we were the only 2 people on the tour! The guide,Sonia, was outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable and interesting. The cake - not so good.

This was a great tour!! We were not the biggest fans of Napoli, but Anna was so much fun, and loved her city so much, she really brought it to life for us! We were only in the city for the afternoon, but Anna helped us to know where to go and what to do the next time we are in Napoli!
