A fantastic day - and Riccardo made it!!!

What a great day - and Riccardo really is a star! We decided to take a private tour, as we were travelling with 3 kids, and did want to avoid queuing up etc. Riccardo picked us up, telling us that he was our driver for the day. In fact, he was so much more: He was a perfect guide, explaining us the sights and what not to miss, he organized our day, was extremely helpful, and we really enjoyed his knowledge as much as his humour. When we got to the parking lot on Mount Vesuvius, where the short hike starts, it began to rain, the paths closed - Riccardo immediately thought about how to make up for our "loss", and added an extra tour to Ercolano. What a great experience that was, so that we could see both the cities hit by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79AD. Everything was perfect - organisation, sufficient time in Pompeii and Ercolano, great guide in Pompeii, good audio guided tour in Ercolano -and again we cannot praise Riccardo enough who is so much more than just a driver!
