WE started out on a slow 1 1/5 hour ferry ride instead of the Hydrofoil as described and it went downhill from there. 20 minutes before arriving at Capri, we were informed that we would not go to the Blue Grotto. The tides were too high.. Tide charts are available a year in advance. We should have been told at booking that the Blue Grotto was not going to happen. Next our private tour was hustled onto a crowded boat full of nice cruise people ( 50 or so )for an Island tour. The final insult was the recommended tourist trap restaurant. It was our most expensive meal during a 2 week trip to Italy and Sicily and average quality. I would go on my own and definitely not with this tour.

Hello, thanks for your review. We are actually sorry you didn't enjoy this experience, because it's one of our bestselling and most (positively) reviewed. As regards the use of a ferry instead of a hydrofoil, it depends on the availability of the day. Even if tide charts are available a lot of time in advance, they always provide an approximate indication. The levels of tide clearly depend on the actual weather and this is to know only few days in advance. We hope you enjoyed your meal at the restaurant even if you found it expensive. Capri is a very rich island, so its prices are often a little less cheaper than Naples' in general. Kind regards
