Itinerary
Begin your day with a tour guide meet and greet at München Hauptbahnhof, the main railway station in Munich. After boarding a train there, ride north to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site.
Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site Tour:
Arrive at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site, the first Nazi concentration camp in Germany during the Holocaust, which served as a model for the subsequently constructed camps. See the photographs, documents, reconstructed cell blocks, the crematorium and administration headquarters on a tour of both the camp and museum. Find out little-known facts and stories about the Nazis linked to this site, like Heinrich Himmler, the guard who founded the camp. Then return to Munich via train. You will have a brief break before meeting up for your walking tour.
Munich Third Reich Walking Tour:
After a short break, meet up with your group at a prearranged point in central Munich. During the Munich Third Reich walking tour, learn about the rise and fall of Adolf Hitler and Nazi Germany’s Third Reich while visiting many of that period's important locations.
Stroll around Munich Old Town to witness the historical sites associated with Nazi Germany. See the building where Hitler first joined the Nazi party, discover the former headquarters of the Gestapo, and visit the place where the Beer Hall Putsch, also known as the Munich Putsch, took place in 1923.
Your tour concludes at Königsplatz, near Munich Central Station.

Emmett did an outstanding job leading our World War II tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kept the group engaged by asking thought-provoking questions while also taking the time to answer everyone’s questions thoroughly.
One thing that really stood out was his ability to present historical facts while also addressing and debunking common myths, which gave us a much deeper understanding of the events. Although the subject matter is incredibly somber, Emmett handled it with professionalism, respect, and compassion. He presented the information in a way that was educational, engaging, and thought-provoking without losing sight of the human impact of the history.
This was an exceptional tour, and we left with a greater appreciation and understanding of World War II. We highly recommend taking a tour with Emmett.

Nicola is an excellent tour guide. She is very knowledgeable and approachable. I was struggling with a recent back injury; she noticed my discomfort and addressed it in a very kind and respectful way. Her knowledge of WWII content is deep and she shares it with clarity and organization. We would definitely take a tour with Radius and/or Nicola again.

Jake was my tour guide for this trip to Dachau Concentration Camp, as well as tour of the Third Reich in Munich. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and engaging, and he always made sure to check that everyone one was comfortable and could comprehend what he was saying. It was a highly enjoyable tour.

Nick was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about WWII. We went to Dachau first and the walking tour was 3-5:30. Long day, but worth it.

Munich WWII & Third Reich 2-1/2 hour tour was almost information overload. Instruction was intense. Guide definitely knew her stuff, there was just so much infomation. Emmett was our guide for Dachau Concentration Camp. He was epic. Took care of the train & bus tranportation, provided ample bathroom breaks, kept the group together. Dachau was depressing & sad, but something everyone should learn about. Emmett was able to explain everything in a knowledgeable, respectful way.
Response from Host, Sep 2025
Kally, thank you very much for sharing your feedback on the tour you joined with us and our guide Emmet. We very much appreciate the great feedback from you on the tour he gave, we will pass it on to him.
We hope to see you back next time too at Radius Tours!

Ian was an incredible tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. It felt as though I was speaking with a long known friend. I learned so much. Things I never even studied or read before. One of the best tours I have ever been on while traveling. I cannot recommend enough.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Great, thank you Tara for taking the time to review the tour and Iain.
C_L, Aug 2025
A lot of information, almost too much information. Majority of the sites and buildings have been either reconstructed or no longer there. Too long of a tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thanks for taking the time to review our tour, and we apologise profusely that you received too much info about the history of the former camp and what went on there.

2 part tour with break in between for lunch. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and open to any questions. I felt the time at Dachau could have been longer, but we covered a lot in a short amount of time. Overall great tour!

Nick was a great guide and very knowledgeable. Respect was shown throughout the tour for the loss of lives. We did do the full day, Dachau and historic walking tour in Munich. This made for a very long day, next time I’d split it up!

Such an amazing day with so much information . Jake our guide was informative and had a great sense of humour but was very respectful of the sights . Would highly recommend this tour to anyone who want to learn about the history of this camp . An excellent day filled with history and culture of the times past . Thanks Jake for your insights of this terrible time in our history.?
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thanks for your review on your tour with Jake and for recommending this experience. We hope to see you again next time.
Michael_L, Jul 2025
This was a very tour of Dachau, the first of the Nazi concentration camps. Our tour guide Scott was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of this horrible place. Although it was not as mesmerizing as Auschwitz, it was a very worthwhile tour. Please be aware however that you take public transportation with your group to get there. That is, the public train and then the city bus which gets very crowded. In summation, I would highly recommend this tour!
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thanks for the high 5 star recommendation of your tour to the Memorial with Scott and Radius Tours.

Marlaina_R, Jul 2025
These two specific tours are very informative and provide an extensive history of Nazi Germany during WWII and concentration camps. Both our guides, Mark Pearson and Sam, were extremely knowledgeable and considerate of how they presented the information. Great tours for their value.
The reason for 4 stars is because sometimes it was difficult to hear our guides in certain areas for various reasons beyond their control - the noise of the city, the echos in Dachau, etc. I would recommend that future tours be equipped with headsets for everyone. This way, the guide can speak at a lower frequency or as we are walking, and participates don't miss a beat 🙂
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you for your thoughtful and constructive review! We're glad to hear you found the tours informative and appreciated the respectful and knowledgeable approach of both Mark and Sam.
cgormley, Jun 2025
Scott was really knowledgeable about everything and made the tour really interesting! Important information to keep alive in an educational and respective way- Scott nailed it.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thank you for your great review! We're so glad to hear that Scott made the tour both educational and engaging. We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you again on another tour soon!
Kathy_M, Jun 2025
Our guide for Dachu, Iain was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and engaging. Heins, the guide for our second half the WWII guide was knowledgeable but engaging, unenthusiastic and boring. He just recited facts and stories at us.
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thanks for taking the time to review your tours with Iain and Hein, and sorry that knowledge and facts were not enough for the 2nd tour.
Vasanth_S, Jun 2025
Our tour guide Connie was excellent. She studied well and prepared quotes from people who experienced imprisonment at that time. It was touching as well informative. She was also attentive to the heat as we were out in a hot day. Found shady spots and areas we could sit down. Extremely considerate. Thank you Connie!
Response from Host, Jun 2025
Thanks for the wonderful review of your tour with Connie and Radius Tours.

Jennifer_W, May 2025
The tour is broken down into two segments. First was the concentration camp. I wish I had not booked this as I could’ve done this on my own and had more time to read through the exhibits in less of a rush. I didn’t feel like this guide was very knowledgeable about the subject matter and that I knew more than he did.
The second tour was the city tour and this guide was better. He took us all around the city and was able to answer questions when asked. However, he would often speak with his back away from us and was difficult to hear. I also felt like we were in a rush and a few of the people on the tour struggled to keep up.
Response from Host, May 2025
Jennifer, thank you for sharing your feedback with us.
We apologize that your expectations did not line up with the experience you had with us. There surely is room for many more hours to spend at Dachau, but for visitors who only have a limited amount of time available, a three hour tour on site strikes the balance of getting a very good idea of the site, without overloading many guests.
If you are ever back to Munich, please contact us directly. We would appreciate to host you on a complimentary tour to show you that this is not the quality we stand for.
Thanks for your understanding.
DARLENE_Z, Apr 2025

Excellent informative tour! Even with a lot of existing knowledge I learned much new information. Very educated tour guides that can teach and answer any questions. Steve was very knowledgeable. Iain was able to capture an audience, well informed and had a style that made the tour that much more interesting.
Response from Host, Apr 2025

Holly_B, Apr 2025
Jake was an exceptional guide for the WWII Walking Tour and Dachau Concentration Camp tour. He's a very knowledgeable about the history, engaging with the group, funny and serious all when it can be a somber topic. This tour provided a greater insight to the Dachau Memorial than you'd get if you did if self-guided, but it might be worth a revisit if you are someone that likes to take time and read all the signs. The walking tour was interesting following the build up of the Nazi party. Jake provided a lot for pictures to show the then vs now since many of the sites were bombed or had historic components that have since been removed. Jake provided a lot of information, answered questions and provided a lot of books or movies to look into associated with the history we learned about. For someone with a short amount of time in the city I felt like this was a bang for buck experience.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
