Chiara was amazing in her abilities to host, teach, and make you feel welcomed. At first glance her home was a very welcoming environment with beautiful colors and plants. She was also very funny and did a wonderful job making sure we understood how to make our food. Overall my girlfriend and I couldn’t have asked for a better host/teacher. She’s the best!!

This "cozy dinner experience" was a favorite activity for my daughter and I during our brief (3 day) visit to Milan. Our hostess Chiara A. made us feel very welcome + at home. We felt like we were visiting an "old friend". The other 4 attendees were from the Netherlands and Chiara's interactions with us all brought laughter + a truly relaxed atmosphere. Chiara was very knowledgeable about how to make the dishes selected. I might even give pasta making a try at home!
With all our conversation and learning, our evening was longer than the planned 3 hrs (4+ hrs)... we were home later than expected. Very tired but with wonderful memories of our Milanese experience!
Chiara was also very responsive before our dinner (texted me via WhatsApp right away) when I had concerns about directions. Provided helpful information for nearest metro stop.

We had an absolutely great time together with Chiara! She was conscientious, attentive to allergies, and food and wine choices. We thoroughly enjoyed an engaging, interactive hands on experience as we learned how to make wonderfully delicious basil stuffed tortellini immersed in tantalizing sausage tomato sauce - wow! She showed us how easy it was to make creamy, light tasty tiramisu. Thank you for the gift of sharing your love of food and dishes reflecting your country’s culture with us. This was our most favorite activity we did while we were in Milan! The host, Chiara, was so welcoming and friendly and kind. It's hard to find small group activities in Europe and that is exactly what we got. There were 7 of us total, giving a more intimate experience. Not to mention, the food was insanely good. I cannot recommend taking this fun cooking class with Chiara while you're in Milan!

Living this experience of cooking with Chiara was a highlight of our trip to Milan. We had so much, learned the basic techniques, met new friends and enjoyed the true Milanese environment. Chiara is passionate, patient and adaptative, switching from French to English to Italian. The vibe was very cool and genuine and we ended up having a great night, came out full and brought back lots of souvenirs that we will be able to recreate back home. Thank you so much! Chiara’s apartment was easy to get to via Milan subway. We loved the charm of her apartment, the appetizers upon our arrival and her fantastic wine choices. It was very fun learning to cook Tiramisu and pasta! I appreciated that Chiara took dietary preferences under consideration.

We had a lovely time overall—cooking in the little kitchen was actually ,and the location was decent. However, the apartment itself left a lot to be desired. It’s on the third floor with no elevator and absolutely no lighting in the stairwell, which made coming and going (especially at night) feel unsafe. The space was very small, which we expected to some degree, but the broken toilet seat was not acceptable. Most surprising of all, after our stay, the host asked us to replace the toilet seat ourselves—which was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. That request alone made the whole experience feel uncomfortable in retrospect. With some attention to maintenance and a bit more could have a better outcome than the host extorting us for a new toilet

It’s unfortunate that this request prompted such a negative review, especially considering that a 5-star review had previously been left (it is possible to find in it in TripAdvisor under your name) which reflects the true nature of your experience.
That said, several points in your review are factually incorrect and unfair, and it's important to clarify them for the sake of future guests.
To begin with, the building does have an elevator, and the stairwell is properly lit. These claims can easily be verified by anyone staying at the property.
Secondly, the apartment is a well-appointed 25 m² space, featuring a three-seater sofa, an armchair, and a dining table for six. It has comfortably hosted groups of four on many occasions, including yours. During the stay, both you and your group complimented the apartment multiple times, calling it "lovely" and "charming."
Regarding the toilet seat: it was intact prior to your arrival. After checkout, it was found dismantled and left on the floor. The chef never accused you of anything nor demanded payment. A polite message was sent simply asking if you would consider contributing to the cost of repair—a request that was entirely optional and expressed with respect.
The chef is committed to maintaining a high standard of hospitality and transparency, as consistently recognized in many positive reviews. While this situation is regrettable, future guests are encouraged to consider the full context.

Chiara was welcoming and very friendly. It felt like being at home. Extremely clean, great personality of Chiara. The experience of learning how to make the pasta and tiramisu was so fun. There were 5 of us in this class, a mom with 2 daughters who are French, with us 2 Americans. We would come to Milan again, just to take this class again.
