We have taken Segway tours all over the world. We love them. However, this particular tour which we were so excited about was a little disappointing.
First of all the tour was supposed to be 2 hours and 15 min long but was actually only about an hour and 15 min long. There were 11 people on the tour and most were newbies so the first half hour was just training which we did not need. We understand it is necessary, but at least give us our full tour time afterwards. We were only on the actual Segway tour from 3 pm to 4:15 pm… totally unacceptable.
Secondly, the tour itinerary included a visit to St John’s Co-Cathedral where we were supposed to get a chance to see the works of Caravaggio. One member of our group of four was most excited about this portion of the tour. However, when we arrived at St John’s, the guide told us that it was too crowded so we were going to move on. He said we could go back later on our own and see it. After our tour ended at 4:15 pm, we walked as quickly as possible back to St John’s and it had closed at 4:30 pm. If a tour says that something is included, then the guide should include that in the experience. So, we were disappointed to miss seeing the inside of St John’s when the guide could have been patient and allowed us time to go inside.
Lastly, the tour was supposed to include The Malta Experience, an audio visual telling of Malta’s past history. However the Malta Experience was closed on today’s date so we did not get to experience it. I realize that this may have been out of the guides control but he could have offered us more Segway riding time to cover the Malta Experience timeframe or he could have refunded us money since that portion didn’t happen.
So in conclusion, the tour was too short, did not cover the itinerary listed, and no type of compensation or other remedy was offered for the tour’s shortcomings.
In short, I would not recommend this tour to other Segway lovers. You will leave unsatisfied and felling slighted. Not worth your time and that’s sad because Malta is a beautiful and interesting city which deserves better.
Plus the guide was supposed to send me all of the different photos he took of us and the group. Those photos were never sent to me:(

We are sorry to hear these comments, and that the experience did not reach your expectation. However, we would like address a few incorrect points.
First of all, please note that the size of our groups vary, and we do not promise clients that they will be in small groups. We do our best to distribute clients in different time slots but, in this case, all clients including yourself came off a cruise line ship that was expected to leave later that afternoon, and the slot booked was the only slot that could have accommodated all clients. Clients may book a private tour, which is offered at a cost.
We also note your comment about the level of expertise of the other clients and that we spent time for training. This is vital for us to ensure the safety of all clients. Even if the complainant is mentioning that his group did not need training because of experience, that should not compromise the safety of other clients. We also make it clear, in the product description, that time for training is included in the time of tour.
St John's Co-Cathedral and Malta Experience are managed by separate companies, and we do not have any bearing on their opening hours or operations. It is very clear in our product description that the Malta Experience is optional and it depends on availability.
Also, please note that 9 photos and 1 video were forwarded to your Whatsapp less than an hour after the tour. The photos are marked as delivered (2 grey ticks) but the message is not read.

Great way to see the walled city of Valetta....Saif is very good as a guide. The only thing is a lot of the route takes you through crowded areas where you can't enjoy zooming down on the segway...could be more of the open areas on the tour which allows you to whizz about.

Riding Segways through the streets of Valletta was a really great experience that we won’t forget. It’s surprising how quickly you get the hang of it but the novelty didn’t wear off. My teenage children especially loved it. What a memory.

The guide was very pleasant and took care of the group to make sure we all kept together. It was a good way to briefly see the old town of Valletta but very little historical information was given. The group was too big (12 people , two English, the rest were German) and it was difficult to hear the guide clearly. He did his best but everywhere was crowded. The streets were very busy and narrow and we could not really appreciate the architecture around us as had to constantly be aware of people, cars and kerbs.
The film following the tour was 45 minutes long. It was historically informative about Malta’s various occupations but not particularly thrilling!

We were a group of 2 and were paired with another couple, so made a group of 4. Saif our tour guide was friendly, informative and great fun. He took videos and photos that he shared with us which was a lovely momento of our day. He showed us the sights and had had good knowledge. Fab morning, would definitely recommend. Thank you

Very easy to use the Segways. Helmets provided. Knowledgeable and personable guide. We had a great time and enjoyed the sights, the history and architecture. The Malta Experience was very informative and the air conditioning was welcome after being out in 35°C.

Luke was our guide and he was amazing! The tour started on time . Luke made sure we all learned how to ride the Segway and were comfortable before starting the tour. I was with my family of four. My daughter 18 and son 15, and husband. We stopped at multiple points, learned about Malta, and took beautiful photos. My family loved it.

we went with Luke and Alexandra, Luke was so very kind as the group was big he passed us to Alexandra, who was i formative and so much fun, we are 57 and 67 years, but what fun was this, we wouldnt have seen so much on foot ourselves, he was very safety conscious but we had the best time ever, learnt a lot but had so much fun. This is great and noval introduction to Valletta. We were a family group of four with myself only just the right side of sixty with 3 twenty year olds. I was a little nervous but Anthony our guide put us all at ease and made sure we were able to handle the Segways before we set off round the city. Anthony managed to get the right ballance or both providing useful information whilst also proving the opportunities to zoom through the city streets. We saw some sights we hadn't been to and were also given tips on where else to go even a lovely pizza restaurant which we tried in the evening and was excellent. A thoroughly good time was had by us all and would recommend to everyone wins hands down on following someone holding a umbrella

We are an Older couple (60’s) that have enjoyed Segways in Chicago and Portland (USA) previously, so thought we’d give it a go here.
Our guide for this experience was Anthony and we had a great time with him. He took us through the familiarisation training to start so that he could see that we could handle the Segway to his and our satisfaction with the necessary safety equipment and then off we went.
Absolutely phenomenal experience! Exhilarating and suitable for 1st timers of any age.
Anthony took us through the hilly streets of Valletta to see many of the sights of the city and explained to us what we were looking at and gave us some historical context. Anthony is a very articulate, knowledgeable young man and has grown up on the Island. He has positive & happy demeanour that kept us engaged and captivated along the journey. Some of the streets were very crowded but Anthony ensured we navigated through the crowds safely and also anything he thought might be hazardous, such as keeping away from high kerb stones when turning.
This for my wife and I was an absolute delight and a great way to get around and see some of Valletta’s most impressive sights. I would highly recommend you give it a try, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

A great family fun activity. Well delivered by our guide luc. Plenty of time to stop off for photos and grab a drink. We forgot to ask luc to take a team photo unfortunately.

Segways are a great way of getting to see a place quickly and this tour ticked a lot of boxes. Guide was informative and safety conscious. 10/10. This tour also came with a short cinema show called the Malta experience, which is well worth a watch

Luke did a fantastic job! Since it was a Sunday it was not as busy but just perfect so he was able to take us to some spots that we normally would not be able to get to! This was the best way to see the city and not have to tire yourself with all the walking like all the other cities.
