This is an 8 hour trip but was advertised as 5.5 hours. Travelers should know there is a lot of waking. There isn’t a lot of free time other than the lunch hour but an hour for lunch was sufficient time to eat. The earphones and listening device provided was great to hear the tour guide throughout the tour. Very informative about synagogue and cathedral. My 15 year old liked it too.

My family had a wonderful tour from Toledo. Our guide Arancha, was wonderful. Just know this is a half day tour, but you leave Madrid at 9:00 and come back at 5:00. Also, it is bilingual in Spanish and English so that adds a little to the time but in no way negatively impacted the positive experience. We loved it!

This was a very good side trip from Madrid. Toledo is a beautiful and interesting place. This is a fast paced tour with hills - so be prepared for a lot of steps.

Had a wonderful tour led by Rafael. A lot of walking so be prepared to climb steps! The narration was given in Spanish and English. It was a wonderful way to see Toledo and the architecture from long ago in the Cathedral and Synagogue.

Our guide, Raphael's knowledge of the history of the sites visited was impressive. Unfortunately, toward the end of the visit we and about 10 others got separated while walking, due to construction and traffic, from the main group and the guide did not wait for us at a five point intersection, so we had no idea where the guide had gone. When we finally managed to rejoin the group, some 10-15 minutes later, he was rude and dismissive of our concerns, and what had happened.

Be prepared to be amazed, especially with the Catedral - an incredible edifice erected on a hill overcoming all sorts of difficulties and yet succeeding. To top it off, the collection of paintings and sculptures would rival any world class museum. Truly a sight to behold.

We were not allowed to go because my wife uses an electric wheelchair. Tour guide told us that we would be getting a full refund and that she had already contacted the office that would process it and it was approved. Now she says that because I didn’t take another tour she suggested that I would no longer be getting the refund. Totally absurd!

Our company was initially evaluating a refund given that you had purchased by mistake a tour that was published as not wheelchair accessible. Although we gave you the option to go with the bus, you preferred not to go when knowing about all the walking that was involved through cobblestone streets.
Then, you asked our employee for advice about any other tour you could do instead, and we offered you a private Prado Museum Tour.
At 9.32 am you called our employee, and during a 9 minutes conversation, you agreed in taking it, instead of going to Segovia on your own as you were considering.
We organized the tour inmediately, and our employee sent you by sms the confirmation details wishing you to enjoy the tour, and asking you to confirm receipt of the message, and you confirmed you got it.
At 2 pm one of our guides was at the scheduled meeting point with your tickets for the tour, but you did not show, and did not reply our phone calls or messages, and we were waiting for you until you replied to a borrowed number saying that you were not going.
We would like to let you know that we have looked at all this communication, and this was an unfortunate misunderstanding for both parts.
We wish all the best to you and to your wife. If you need any assistance in your future trips, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Even though we requested an English speaking tour it was done in both Spanish and English making it take twice as long at each attraction. It got to be very tedious and took away from the day

We booked this tour with English, but was bilingual Spanish and English. We had a tour Ávila and Segovia, which divided English groups and Spanish group when we walked at sites. We had to listen both languages, wasting time and annoying. This tour is a half day tour 5 1/2 hours, but took us 8 hours.

Awesome guide. Did a wonderful job describing the sites and flavor of Toledo. To top it she gracefully handled two people who did not return to the bus. She explained the situation and we waited for over 20 minutes before departing after repeated attempts to reach them by. She felt very bad about leaving them but there was nothing she could do. They needed to be respectful of the other 40 people.

They were very accommodating when they extended the time of the tour beyond listed for others to stay and explore longer and found transportation back to Madrid for me because I had a train to catch. Longer breaks than I usually prefer so there was no real free time to see Toledo at all for me which was unexpected. The cathedral and synagogue was great.

Wonderful tour but instead of the 5 and 1/2 hour half day tour advertised, it ended up being almost 8 hours. We had a dinner show booked for 6:00 p.m. and we got back to our hotel with only 30 minutes to shower and get ready. Too close and very stressful! The tour guide and driver were great and what we saw was incredible. Change the advertised time!

I always purchase my tour from Viator vendors, and usually, we were happy with every tour, and I left a 5-star rating. I was very sceptical while purchasing the subject tour because many former customers said the guide spoke Spanish most of the time. I thought that it was a lie and apparently fell for it. First and foremost, I don't recommend buying this tour to anyone who is not fluent in Spanish. Secondly, this is not a half-day tour, since we left at 9am and returned after 5pm. Toledo is a beautiful small city with deep historical roots, but it is not big enough to spend all day there, not to mention that your guide, Arantxa, speaks Spanish at least 75-80% of the tour. Despite asking her to speak English, she switched for a minute and continued in Spanish. Overall, I would not recommend this tour to anyone not fluent in Spanish.

The guide Oscar I guess was decent but I thought the tour was for English speaking people. I speak some Spanish, but Oscar spoke Spanish almost exclusively and when he did speak English, it was limited in time and barely understandable.

The tour was a little longer than we expected--we left Madrid at 9:00 AM and return around 5:30 PM. Our guide Oscar was excellent! He explained aspects of history, religion, and art in depth in both Spanish and English (and his English was very easy to understand). I would have preferred a little more time at the church of Santo Tomé, but Oscar spent a significant amount of time addressing the famous (and beautiful) El Greco painting. On the day we went to Toledo, it was extremely hot--Oscar told us it was nearly 44° celsius; however, the 3+ miles that we walked (up and down) were done at a pace that my wife and I (both in our 60s) could easily manage. Be sure to wear good walking shoes and carry water! I highly recommend this tour from Madrid.

We booked this tour expecting it to be in English, but the majority of it — about 80% — was conducted in Spanish. This made it very difficult to follow, and there was no opportunity to ask questions or get clarification. It felt disorganized and not as advertised. Unfortunately, we can’t recommend this tour for English-speaking guests.

Toledo is definitely a great day trip from Madrid, but for me there were pros and cons to the overall experience. I loved the old city charm and thought overall it was very beautiful. The views from Saint Martin bridge and the cathedral as well as the quaint streets were really beautiful. Overall the tour went smoothly, running on time (I loved that this wasn’t a super long 12 hour tour like some day trips stretch to), the bus was comfortable, our tour guide was nice and clear able meeting points and times. I had two critiques of the tour. First, while I have been in business tours where for the bus portion the langauges are mixed, I have never been on one where the walking tour in the city was mixed language. Even the other day tour I did through the same company split us in Segovia and Avila into separate Spanish and English speaking groups. This both meant she had half as much time to give information in each language and I personally had trouble realizing I needed to zone back in when she switched back to English. I didn’t feel like I absorbed as much history because of this. Related to this, I felt the tour of the Jewish quarter lacked a lot of information and I would have liked to have learned more about that part of Toledo's history. I enjoyed my day but my constructive criticism tot he your company would be to have a single language per group at least while in the city.
