Everything about this tour was subpar. The driver was one hour late and was not a guide, but a driver. He dropped us off at a couple of locations and we were on our own. I complained to Viator and received no response. I have used Viator in the past and will not use them again.

Terrible and miserable

There was no pickup till 10 am and then the local tour operator stated that they had cancelled the pickup on Friday without any explanation. Now I am constantly communicating to get a refund back and I am being told to wait for 72 hours. I paid in advance for a pickup trusting it would be performed as committed which did not happen and now no refund and it has been 30 hours. Worst arrangement please do not waste your precious time on this. On top of it they ask me to write a review on how I liked the trip. Seriously!!

This experience was misleading - at least to me - for what it was. Basically it was just a driver to and from Toledo from Madrid, yet it was over $400. Similar activities I have booked with Viator for the same money include a guided tour, there was no guide, no tour, just a drop off and pick up. Most disappointed. Will ask for a refund.

Our driver Jesus Dimas was helpful, friendly, and full of interesting tidbits of local culture. This excursion was a convenient way to see Toledo from Madrid with the insight of a guide but with complete freedom to choose when and where to go. The only improvement I would suggest would be to have water available for the ride there and back

Our driver, Jesus, was great because he gave us a tour of Toledo; however the description of the trip is misleading. We thought our driver would be our guide but found out once we started the trip we’d need to go on a self-guided trip of Toledo. Jesus was nice enough to walk us around and see the best spots in Toledo. Kudos to him.

Note, like one of my other reviews on private tours in Spain, this is a tour where the supplier rents out a taxi and it’s driver and you request where you can go. The city of Toledo is an old town and it’s meant for walking and exploring. I have my elderly parents with me, so this was definitely not a city to go. Aside from the little town square and the museum, there isn’t much for people with reduced mobility to do. The taxi and the driver is good. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating to our needs.
