A great value! Our tour guide Kevin was friendly, told interesting stories about London’s history, and went at a perfect pace. You have to be able to walk for three solid hours without break, but the pace is reasonable. He takes you into some quaint and interesting areas that are off the beaten path, as well as hitting a lot of the big sites within/near Roman London. Bring your best walking shoes, a bottle of water, and prepare to have a great time!

This was an amazing tour and Kevin is a wonderful tour guide! He has an abiding passion for history and makes the Roman and Norman Saxon periods in London come alive. We visited incredible sights - some that are in plain sight but would be overlooked without an informed guide and others that are hidden underneath buildings and in parking garages! Kevin is extremely knowledgeable and his enthusiasm is contagious. He provided insights that were fascinating and answered my many questions. He helped me to appreciate more fully how genius the Romans were in their engineering feats and how much we owe to those who paved the way for later generations! Kevin opened the doorway for me to Roman London. I had downloaded several walking tours from the Internet but decided on Kevin instead. I’m glad I did. He not only took me to all the Roman sites in London but explained them in the context of Roman Londinium. Along the way I got a double dose of London history ranging from Dickens to the Blitz. Kevin is not only knowledgeable but very personable. He’s a really good guy. Take this tour, save yourself a lot of wandering down dead ends, see Londinium in a highly organized manner, and prepare yourself for a fun experience.

From the time my guide picked me up in front of my hotel, I felt this was going to be a great tour. Kevin was warm and friendly. During our time together, his knowledge of London from the Roman period onwards was astounding. This tour took us all over old London. He took me down small alleys, and under giant skyscrapers. Talked about ancient, medieval, prewar and post war architecture. All my questions were patiently answered. I recommend this tour to anyone interested in the history of London before the castles were built. This is a little known part of London.

I don't think there is anywhere else on Earth where you can have Roman and 21st century skyscrapers side by side and all of it in the oldest part of London which bizarrely is almost completely ignored by visitors.... at least we get to show a select few!

Our tour guide Stephen was wonderful and possessed incredible knowledge of the history of the Roman Empire in London. We had access to a number of sights that were below street level as well as many ruins that have been excavated. The tour is well worth taking in if you are a history or archaelogy buff.

The entire tour! We walked 7 plus miles and saw parts of the City that even Londoners never visit. It was an amazing tour and Kevin is highly recommended. I would certainly like to have him guide us around other parts of London

This tour followed the remains of the old Roman wall around downtown London. Kevin, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, and had many fascinating surprises, including, revealing the wall of the Roman basilica beneath the hair dressing salon the tour was well paced, and Kevin also offered stories about More recent London history as well as current observations. I highly recommend this experience.

Steven kept his appointment even though I was the only one who signed up for his tour. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I saw evidence of several colosseums and the Roman wall along with one special stone that was from Stonehenge. He showed me many Roman ruins off the beaten tourist paths. In addition, he offered to take me to other tourist sites. We walked and talked for four hours. We stopped for a small rest at a small cafe in an historical budling where he treated me to a beverage. I especially appreciated him meeting me at my hotel. If you are interested in history, I recommend Steven.

Stephen, our guide, was the best! He walked us around the City of London’s Roman ruins, those in the guide books and some that were not. He was most knowledgeable not only about the Roman history but London’s in general and shared stories about any interesting spot we pasted Roman, medieval, WWII, or today’s era. He was upbeat, funny, and a pleasure to walk with. We highly recommend a tour with Stephen!

Kevin provided an expert tour of Londinium. He's in fantastic shape so we had a complete workout walking all of the City of London and came away with many stories and factoids about Roman life in Londinium. He was helpful advising on getting around the city. We provided info to him he did not know about - St Helen's Bishopgate's association with Shakespeare in the 1590s.

It was great seeing things off the normal routes. Through alleyways and behind areas, inside churches etc. A number of places you just wouldn't know were there. Stephen arranged the tour extremely well to fit in with our schedule and I would recommend the tour to anyone. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. As it was a walking tour the extra titbits of information also added to the experience.
