Really friendly host, fun class and incredibly delicious scones! There was a truly international community and a lot of fun discussion. Apparently, one uses buttermilk, not heavy whipping cream, to make a scone! That certainly accounts for why these scones were better than what I make! Fun afternoon. Highly recommend.

This is held on the top floor of a Dutch Bar in Chinatown so already so unique! Great selection of drinks if you come early. The event was very well organized and well thought out. It was easy to do from my 7 year old daughter all the way up to the adults. We all had such a good time. Highly recommend.

The event only takes an hour, and is a lovely way to get the official Buckingham Palace scone recipe. Leif was our instructor, and he was lovely and warm and patient. I would be happy to attend any workshops he conducted. He is a superstar! Leif made sure that we didn’t get off track, and that our scones would come out properly. Sitting around the communal table also made it enjoyable to get to know other travelers who were participating. I would highly recommend this activity!

This was a nice, quick hands-on activity that we enjoyed. Our 5-year-old enjoyed the experience, and of course, eating the scones. The class moved a bit quickly for a little kid to follow along, but we managed. My only suggestion might be to find a way to provide some extra jam and cream for the scones people leave with :)

Great Cooking Class for the Family

Jaimee_W, Jul 2026
This was a fun class for the whole family to learn how to make scones. We also enjoyed the tea. The only thing that would make it even more perfect would be to print out the recipe for us or send it virtually.

Scones and tea yes please

Sarah_C, Jul 2026
This was a fabulous experience! Leaned not only how to make scones, but the history behind them. Small group of only 4 of us was perfect! They were delicious and partnered very well with the tea! Our teacher, I believe her name was Kai?, was super sweet and helpful during the process. Highly recommend for a nice mid-day outing!

Best scone making!

Sharon_L, Jul 2026
Was a lot of fun making our own scones. Pamela explained the process really well and made it all easy to do. Had a funny debate whether to put cream on jam or the other way around... you'll have to decide for yourselves... Will definitely use the recipe at home. I reccommend this workshop if you are looking to do something that's English and different.

Great experience for a visit to London

This was such a unique and fun experience that was a perfect addition to either a relaxed day or touring day in London, especially to do something that is a little less touristy. I highly recommend it, especially in the afternoon when you need a pick me up snack and cup of tea. The scones were delicious!

Make your own scones

This was such a fun experience! Pam and Sanders were great chefs/hosts. The location was easy to find, the activity started on time and all that we needed was provided. Pam’s instructions were clear and easy to follow. We were each able to make 4 scones. We ate some, as they were coming out from the oven, and they were delicious! We were served tea to go with the scones. Sanders was fun and informative with his stories. We were provided with bags to take our leftover scones, a certificate of completion, and the recipe. We all had a great time! Would highly recommend.

Fun!

Tricky to find. You might think you are at the wrong place, but you're not. Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves. The hosts were organized and well-informed. Scones were delicious! Relaxed way to spend a few hours!

The Queen’s Scones

Spencer_N, Aug 2025
Fun experience to add to your London itinerary for some down time from sightseeing. The host Lief takes you through the hour long baking class which is a simple no frills introduction to the “Queens scone recipe.” You’ll mix, need, cut and bake your own scones. Then you get to enjoy with the traditional jam, clotted cream and plenty of tea. You’ll make enough to take a few with you for later also. Great activity for the whole family. Just be advised the activity is in the upstairs of a pub and is not accessible to anyone who cannot easily traverse a staircase.

Delicious break from touring London’s attractions.

Linda_R, Aug 2025
Leif was very clear in his directions and he made this a memorable experience. The scones and tea were delicious! This was a nice break from running around doing tours. Highly recommend.

Leif is the best chef and scone maker!

This was a wonderful and memorable experience. Our hosts were fabulous. My kids will remember this more so than going to a fancy sit down tea.

All you need is to do is have fun!

Zharmain_Z, Aug 2025
This was such a great activity to do in London. A nice break from all the touristy stuff and a good taste of other UK things to do. Ron was very nice and gives good instructions, all that you need are provided and all you have to do is have fun!

Fun!

LINDAK_D, Aug 2025

Rude People, No Scone Making

Alexia_G, Aug 2025
If I could leave no stars I would. We showed up to the location 5min late because of a small mishap and found a closed storefront with no indication that there was a class. After waiting outside for another 10min trying to figure out what was going on and how to contact the organizer, someone in the restaurant saw us staring in the windows and let us inside. We were led upstairs to find the class had begun and were rudely dismissed by the instructor as late arrivers. No refund was offered just shame and embarrassment. My kids were confused and disappointed. What a joke.

Never again

abdulelahjo, Aug 2025
We arrived at the location exactly at 1:30 however due to parking issues we had to walk for 5 minutes to reach the place. When i spoke to the provider they told me they would close the doors at 1:35 and at 1:35 we arrived but they didn't let us in. Such a great experience!

Good fun…and tasty too!

Donna_H, Aug 2025
What a fun activity with a friendly, small group of people, making scones, drinking tea, and having some laughs. Our instructor, Leif, was great- kind, friendly, helpful, and entertaining. I had a wonderful time.

I love scones. I grew up eating them but never learnt how to make them. This course allowed me to do that! We not learnt how to make scone the Buckingham Palace way but we also learnt about the history and some fun tips and tricks. My scones were delicious if I do say so myself and of course put Jam on before my cream! Would do again!

A fun time

Jason_L, Jul 2025
A great experience learning how to make authentic scones. They were delicious and we even got a few extras to take with us after the tasting…
