Excellent in many ways. Staff is so polite and our attendant offered great tea selections. Seated at a window table in the most comfy chairs. Started with Prosecco. Presentation was beautiful. The individual sandwiches were tasty with our favorite being the chicken with mayonnaise surrounded with toasted almonds. Then the desserts —-awesomeness, followed by the freshly baked scones topped with jam, or lemon custard. Yum-Yum.

This was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it! Come hungry because there was an abundance of food for each person, including multiple sandwiches, pastries , scones, etc. Their tea options were also exceptional. Excellent service & overall experience in a historic hotel.

Arrive at the elegant The Milestone Hotel in London for a refined afternoon high tea experience overlooking Kensington Palace. Set in a historic building dating back to 1689, the hotel’s impressive facade and polished interiors provide a fitting backdrop for this classic British tradition, once enjoyed by barons, ambassadors, and distinguished guests.

Inside the dining room, settle in for attentive service and a carefully balanced spread of sweet and savory treats. Enjoy three tiers of freshly prepared finger sandwiches, plain and fruit scones served with Devonshire clotted cream and homemade preserves, and a tempting selection of pastries, including tartlets, cupcakes, and macarons. A truly lovely setting in the library of Milestone (victorian) hotel. The staff were attentitive, knowledgeable, and were excellent at their job. All going out of their way to make this experience special to us. The afternoon tea itself was absolutely delicious! There were many different teas on offer to try. The staff again were helpful in deciding! Highly recommend this experience and we will defintely return in the future.

Afternoon Tea

Although it was a little more expensive than some other afternoon teas, the service and experience was above the ordinary. Here we were able to sample more than one selection of teas. The scones were made fresh for us and the tea sandwiches were delicious. Everything is served in fine silverware. The library setting is very relaxing and comfortable. We left the experience feeling we had got our money's worth. The location which is just outside Kensington Palace makes for an ideal afternoon of pampering.

Delicious and fun experience

We had a great time for our first 'english afternoon tea'! The food was delicious and the tea was tasty, we must have tried 6 or 8 different ones between us. The added champagne was nice but probably not worth the prices. The staff was attentive and very professional.

Superb!

The High Tea was amazing - probably the best I’ve experienced. Round chicken sandwiches coated in almonds were next level and two of the desserts were out of this world. Grant who served us was great. But the cost of a bottle of water at £10.85 left a sour taste in my mouth. If I’d known they were going to charge us for the water I would have taken the bottle for a souvenir 🤣🤣🤣

The staff, food and ambiance was fabulous. They were able to accommodate my wife’s gluten free request without issue even though they recommend advance notice for quicker and guaranteed service. While I don’t need to be gluten free, I usually am and can honestly say that I didn’t feel like I missed out on anything! Well done!

A leap in time

Very nice experience, very courteous and kind staff. The younger girls were offered hot chocolate instead of tea which we really appreciated. The selection of teas is not very large but in my opinion sufficient for a pleasant afternoon tea. A selection of sandwiches and desserts are offered but in my opinion the highlight are the scones which are really very good, perhaps I would have appreciated being able to choose from more jams. The room is very beautiful and makes for an immersive experience.

Due to traffic restrictions because of a protest we were a bit late, but they were very kind and accommodating, and the experienced did not disappoint. The tea sandwiches were delicious as well as the scones and treats. We were not able to eat at all so they packed it up and we took it with us. Everybody was exceptional and the milestone is beautiful.
