Are you ready for doughnuts? I thought I was. This walking tour was a lot of fun. Our tour guide knew quite a bit of history and took us to some out of the way places. You get about five doughnuts on this tour so be prepared. All of the doughnuts were delicious! I really couldn't pick a favorite. The Birds ad Blend tea shop that we stopped at was so good that I have been ordering from the store since we got back to the U>S.

The Underground Donut Tour is a diamond in the rough, which is beginning to catch on big time. We were blest to have Alex, a gastronomic aficionado, along with his apprentice, Andy as our guides.
We saw several significant sites and heard many inside stories, as we stopped at four excellent “donutteries” and an exotic tea shop. Be forewarned that you will get a very substantial donut at each store and will likely be carrying tomorrow’s breakfast home with you. Also, if you don’t like tea, you have a plethora of iced concoctions tailored to suit your fancy!
Overall, it was an excellent alternative to the standard London tour.
Bravo!

This was an excellent tour! My young son and I had a blast. Bhavani our guide was amazing! She was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and has excellent taste in donuts!! This was the best part of our trip so far to London!

We truly loved this tour. We showed up, met Oscar, and discovered that we had our own tour guide, since we were the only two to book the tour for the day. It was so neat having our own personal “donut and history” guide. Oscar not only got us some amazing donuts, but also took on a true history tour of the borough. We highly recommend the tour and the guide. We hope to do a tour like this back home!

I loved this tour! I had the best tour guide in Bhavani! I went on the 9am Saturday morning tour. I know other reviews complained about some places not being open that early. But that was not my experience. There was one (Bread Ahead) that was not quite open when we got there so Bhavani just improvised and showed other parts of the Borough Market and the looped back around. All the donuts were incredible, but the raspberry jam at St John was especially yummy. And the dark chocolate sourdough at Crosstown was indescribable. All the donuts were fresh and creative. This is a great way to spend a morning. Thank you to Bhavani for such a great experience!!

Billy was a great tour guide with lots of great information and personal experiences to bring to the tour and a great personality. The donuts were eclectic and interesting. The first stop, St. Johns was extremely friendly and welcoming. We were surprised by a stop in a tea shop which wasn't mentioned but very welcome.

This tour has a lot of potential, but it’s just not there yet.
Our tour was scheduled to be 9-11. We ended up be the only 3 on the tour, so it was an accidental private tour as he told us. He also told us we were the Guinea pigs for the 9am start, which I’d say was a major flop. We were excited to try different doughnuts from multiple places, but boy did we leave highly disappointed.
First stop, meeting point (and supposed to be first doughnut) was closed. No fault of the tour operator, but how contingencies are handled is the responsibility of the tour operator. We told him we were leaving that same day, our flight was at 4pm, so we were fitting this in before leaving and had to leave at 11 to get back to the hotel to leave. This was our breakfast and we were excited to have various doughnuts.
The market tour was good and he gave lots of feedback and opinions on what to try and what to avoid. But the major disappointment at this point is, we didn’t get our first doughnut until well after 10am, so the first hour we were all hungry and barely listening.
What was the worst part of the entire tour, spending over 30-45 minutes hovering and waiting for “Humble Crumble” to open as the contingency stop. That place was absolutely disgusting, not even close to a doughnut, and we all threw them away. We went on a DOUGHNUT tour- not a custard and yogurt tour. We did get doughnuts from only 2 other places. The tour operator would have been better to get us 2 from first place we actually had one, and leave humble crumble out of the mix - THEY ARE NOT CLOSE TO A DOUGHNUT. The first place we actually ate a doughnut, it was delicious and the best one we ate on the tour. The ones we took with us from the other place (your instagram opp place) were fair. They look pretty, taste doesn’t go with the visual. Basically they get a 10 for appearance but only a 2 for taste.
At 11:05 we had to stop the tour, and skip the last place. At this point our hands were full and we were all a mess from trying to carry custard crap with us, instead of DONUTS, like the tour promised.
I wouldn’t say avoid this tour, I would say do the 10am slot and make a hard stance that Humble Crumble is a no go. (Unless you like that kind of stuff of course, but all 3 of us hated it)

Charlie was a fantastic guide! This was by far the most fun we had in London. It is so much more than a doughnut tour. Charlie was early, text us before hand telling us what he was wearing, very friendly and sprinkled in London history as we went along. My advice would be pace yourself, don't eat the entire doughnut at each place if you really want to sample them all.. He took an interest in us and offered up suggestions for other things to see and do. He did suggest his favorite hamburger place to us(sorry you will have to ask Charlie yourself 😀). We agreed it was probably the best burger we have ever had and you would probably just walk by it not even giving it a second look.

What a fun tour! Our kids loved getting to sample some of London’s fabulous donuts, and we appreciated learning some info about London and the area around Borough Market. Our tour guide Charlie was an absolute delight. He knew lots of interesting history and shared some great local tips. He made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun. Definitely a fun and different tour to experience in London :)

Oscar was an awesome tour guide and provide a lot of knowledge of the shops and the local area. The doughnuts were all great from each location but also slightly different on the baking ingredients, taste and presentation.
