Paolo was a fabulous secret food tour guide! We were thrilled it was just our foursome as it really made the tour more memorable and intimate. He shared lots of interesting stories and knowledge of food and other things from Florence. We really enjoyed the bakery, Pasticceria Forno; the underground restaurant with the antipasto plate and wine (name?); and of course the Biscotti Cantucci’s biscottis and The Gellateri’s delicious gelato. Paola graciously escorted us back to the train station after we were satiated. Grazie !

Loved this tour. Paolo was a very knowledgeable guide and showed us some sights that most tours would never pick up. The food was great. One stop included a street vendor which as a tourist I would be afraid to try in my own. We had a great time and highly recommend this excursion. Come hungry!!!!

We went on the food tour with Paolo. We had a great time sampling food around Florence and everything was delicious. It was also enjoyable to hear about the history of the places and food. A great way to spend a few hours learning more about this beautiful city.

Fantastic day with Gerardo and a lovely American couple (my wife tells me their names but I don’t trust her accuracy). Food was amazing, tour was so, so good overall. Don’t eat any breakfast if you intend to do this in the morning!

A lovely experience! Paolo is a wonderful guide, leading us through Florence / Firenze's history, culture and geography all to better understand (and enjoy!) their food. There were a wonderful and delicious variety of samples, from a bowl of local produce, cheeses and salumi, pasta, gelato, and yes, lampredotto for the brave (and yes, it's the same vendor Stanley Tucci visited). Of all the city, museum, site and other tours we went on during our trip to Italy, we agreed that the food tours are the best way to get to know the city and have a great meal at the same time!

The tour was excellent and a perfect way to spend our final day in Florence after seeing so many museums. The food choices were wonderful - loved the cantucci from Leonardo, and the fig & ricotta gelato at the end was amazing. All of the stops in between, including the market, were equally good, and it was fun to try the lampredotto. We were definitely well fed. All in all, we'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Florence.

Gerardo was a wonderful guide! We loved his emphasis on out of the way places where locals eat. He had interesting information about places we passed, was patient and interesting, and always there was more delicious food! Highly recommend this tour!

If you’ve never been to Florence and aren’t much of a foodie but want a general guide through some typical dishes this is a perfect little walk. Our guide was very nice but the couples I went on the tour with with were more interested in talking about their own country than learning anything about Florence. So, I can’t say the tour was filled with a lot of good info. I think the tour guide just gave up and let these people talk. The food stops were good, but again, not much explanation of the history behind the places or the food.

My daughter & I thoroughly enjoyed this walking food tour. Paulo was very informative and friendly. He spoke English very well that made it easier for us to understand each of our food stops. We liked the good mix of foods we experienced as there were many different and delicious foods we tasted. My top 3 favorites were the biscotti, the foods at the Farmers Market, and the homemade gelato. The walk was the perfect distance.

Lorenzo was terrific and we stopped at authentic places I would have never seen. The food was amazing and even tried something I would have NEVER tried on my own lol. I even learned how to tell the ‘good’ gelato from the fake ( chemicals et al) Thank you! Thoroughly enjoyed walking around the beauty of Florence

Paolo went truly above and beyond on this incredible Florentine food tour. When he discovered my FIL is an architect, he sprinkled architecture-inspired facts throughout our walk as we passed notable buildings in different styles. Furthermore, the variety of food and stops surpassed our expectations— we went to a breakfast café, a restaurant, a food market, and even a food stand! The experience felt truly authentic and we are all so grateful to Paolo!

Paolo was a terrific guide. This tour was easy to locate and so much fun to do. We visited several amazing restaurants and the market to meet the purveyors of local delicacies. Come hungry because you are going to eat eat eat!

Chiara met us in Piazza Santa Croce, we were only 2 person, so like a privat tour. She introduced the food throughout the day, starting with breakfast, apperitivo, and than things got seriously delicios but plentiful. Arrive on an empty stomach. The secret tips and beyond touristy areas made this an unique tour. Much appreciated is the email with food and places visited. Loved it!
