Our full day trip through the Chianti region was excellent! Our guide, Christian, was awesome. He picked us up at our air bnb in Florence and off we went. We modified our tour a bit as we only wanted to visit one winery and see Siena and San Gimignano. We even had some time at the end of the day and we stopped at the Florence American WW2 cemetery. The winery in Sant’ Appiano that we went to for a wine tasting and lunch was amazing as well. Just know ahead of time that the wine tasting/lunch is not included in this booking fee. Ciao Florence (the tour operator) was excellent as well. They are very communicative through WhatsApp. We had a great time and highly recommend!

“Private Tour from Florence to the Chianti Wine Region”. Where do I begin, the best way to see one’s country is through the eyes and passion of someone who lives there. Cristian picked my husband and myself up at the B&B we were renting and asked if we had anything planned. I said, I’m a little embarrassed bc I had misread what I had booked and didn’t realize until last night that I hadn’t booked a wine tour of the Chianti region.Cristian said you want to taste Chianti, I’ll take you. We lucked out when we got Cristian. We asked him to plan what we did and all I can say is today was better than diamonds (I like diamonds). We went to Sienna and San Gimignano which were incredible to see. But the wine tasting at Poggio Amorelli that was the experience of a lifetime that made the day better than diamonds. It was a wine tasting lunch that lasted 2-2.5 hours, 5 wines 4 courses and Martina made it more special. Cristian told us the history of places with drove through and would pull over and stop at scenic over looks for pictures. I cannot say enough amazing things about our day. I recommend you request Cristian for a tour. Thank you Cristian for a day that was better than diamonds. For those who book this through Viator, I recommend that you email what you want to do so they can pick a specific driver that works best with that schedule.
