Itinerary

After morning pickup from your Florence hotel, start with a scenic drive through the countryside of Tuscany.

When you arrive in Pisa, head to the Piazza dei Miracoli, site of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which was built in 1173. Visit landmarks on your own such as the medieval Cathedral, which is known for its elaborately carved pulpit by Giovanni Pisano; the Baptistery; and the 12th-century Monumental Cemetery (Camposanto Monumento), which was restored after its partial destruction by World War II bombings.

Explore the Muda Tower (Torre dei Gualandi) in Piazza dei Cavalieri. In the tower, the Count Ugolino della Gherardesca and his family were imprisoned and killed in the 13th century—an event that Dante incorporated into his masterpiece 'The Divine Comedy.'

After your Pisa tour, rejoin your driver for the return drive to Florence, passing the Arno River and the streets that border the river (lungarni) along the way. Your tour ends with return to your hotel in Florence.

Very pricey for the experience, it is virtually a car ride to Pisa. We had purchase additional tickets to climb Pisa and visit the cathedral after already paying $185 pp to get there. The driver was knowledgeable on the ride.

She can’t speak English at all

Great but wish we had more time in Pisa

We had a wonderful experience going to Pisa from Florence. Our driver was on time and very nice (only thing - they said water would be provided so we didn't bring any with us and didn't get any - had 2 9 year olds with us who could have used it - was a bit of a ride). Only thing is that I wish we had more time in Pisa. We got maybe 1.25 hours and sat while the "young ones" climbed the tower. We bought tickets for the cathedral but didn't have time once they came down to go in. Needed to buy water and a snack given we were gone 4 hours from our homebase. Was great seeing the scenery as we drove to and fro. Learned a lot from our driver about the farming, trees and history of the areas.

Nice half day trip to Pisa

This booking served two purposes. A chance to see Pisa and be the transfer to the train station. Communication with company was excellent to know what time to book train and drop off and pick up was smooth. Although this was a very nice trip I’d suggest making a trip to Pisa a part of a larger itinerary. But private trips can sometimes be a transfer when communication is used

Comfortable vehicle for 7 of us. Even allowed us to get our luggage along. Christian, our guide was well versed with Florence and Pisa’s history. He was very friendly and informative. He gave us good suggestions to maximize our trip in the limited time. We all enjoyed the trip a lot.

We thought our driver would give us more history of what we were seeing. I’m not even sure if he introduced himself? He picked us up, dropped us off, gave us 1.5 hours to see the tower and church and drove us home. He didn’t explain we needed the free ticket to go in the church or tell us we had to stand in line to get the free ticket. It was very rushed by the time we figured it out. Not sure it was worth the money or the four hours.

When is a tour not a tour!

The heritage site in Pisa is everything you expect of it especially on a beautiful sunny day which this was. However in my view the experience is mis-represented in the title. It should be called a private chauffeured return trip to Pisa. The driver was good at his job - which was being a driver. NO tour as such was offered and the drivers first words to me on picking me up at the Hotel were I am a driver not a guide. At just over £400 it was not cheap however it did enable me to see the Cathedral complex in Pisa guiding myself.

We basically paid for a driver. He was a nice man and very interesting but he really didn't tell us anything about Pisa. He picked us up and dropped us off. I would not say that was a tour.
