Great 4 wheeling experience through the town and forest with a beautiful beach stop. Our group of 18 really enjoyed it! Just be prepared that the bus waits for everyone, including the dune buggies, to finish so you may be waiting for a bit afterwards. We planned for 3.5 hr excursion but it was more like 4.5 from meeting time to drop off so we didnt have as much time at the port afterwards as we hoped.

We decided to go with this tour company that offered both ATV and Buggy guided tour experiences with a pickup from the cruise port. We wanted to do ATV as the Buggy tours seems a lot more of a messy and muddy experience.
The Good: ATV tour guide was very thorough with instructions and we felt very safe while out on the tour. We had a lot of fun, though we did wish there was opportunities to pick up the speed a bit more, but that was a minor complaint.
The bad: We were the only people that were picked up from the cruise port that chose ATV. The majority did the buggy tour. Our tour took approximately 2-2.5 hours, then we headed back to the Buggy shop where we had left from. When we arrived we were told the rest of the group that were on the Buggies were on their way. We waited for over an hour and only one employee came up to us in that time and assured us that the group would be back in the next 10 minutes. About 15-20 minutes later the rest of the group did indeed show up, but it was still another 30 minutes until we were able to board the transfer vehicle back to the cruise port. We waited nearly 90 minutes total and were not offered any snacks, water or anything for our inconvenience. Had the employees let us know that the other tour was so far behind us it would not have been as big of an issue, but we were kept in the dark due to seemingly bad scheduling. This tour company could have just taken me and my fiancee back to the cruise port instead of having us wait this absurd amount of time.
Despite this I'm giving grace and making my review a 3/5 because we did enjoy the ATV experience itself. But this was just very unprofessional.

First time on an ATV and it was a lot of fun. They picked me up and took me to the ATV place and taught me how to drive. The lockers there cost 5 dollars, not included, but you don't need it for the ATVS. We went through water, jungle, beach, and city. Met some cute dogs along the way too. Overall, a great day.

It seems other people have had issues with this company in Puerto Plata. We booked an ATV bike tour. We got there and they put us in a van and took us to a tour where we waded through a canyon with some natural water slides. It was a great tour but not at all what we paid for. Upon discussing this with the operators, they did fix the situation by refunding the tour we paid for and then we just paid for the cheaper on we did. But they also grouped us up with other tour groups so a quick tour that should have taken 30 minutes with my small group of 8 people became a three-hour long waiting session while over one HUNDRED other tourists took turns walking through the canyon. I didn’t appreciate that at all. I’d be wary of booking with this company unless you’re totally cool to just “go with the flow.” There is a good chance your tour will NOT be as advertised.

We were in a side by side, which was the better way to travel for my wife and I. The guides were good and the trails were good as well. Some of the trails were quite rough and you had to go slowly through them. Also there was plenty of water and mud to make it interesting. One of the workers was always positioning themselves to take photos and videos. And I might say that they were great and a decent price for everything. You need to remember to bring extra clothes. There are open showers to clean yourselves and change if you wish to. There are also lockers available for $5. There are no places on any of the buggys to keep anything. Also bring cash and or CC for the rest stop. Which is where they explain how they process the Cacao. There are items to purchase if you wish to.

Although it seems we didn’t quite get the tour that was originally advertised, we still had an amazing time. I had booked the Waterfall and ATV tour, and based on the photos, I was expecting a day filled with ATV rides, several stops—including a visit to a chocolate factory, a shot of maujana, and a city tour. However, the experience was a bit different.
Instead of the ATV adventure I anticipated, we were led to a van that took us to the waterfall, which was absolutely stunning and thrilling. Afterward, we enjoyed a nice lunch. Finally, we got on the ATVs for about 45 minutes, but the ride itself was more limited than I expected. We were driven to a beach and then to an area that seemed more industrial, with some muddy spots to navigate.
Even though there was a bit of confusion regarding the itinerary, we still had a wonderful time and enjoyed the experience. I suspect there may have been a mix-up with either the advertising or the tour coordination. Regardless, the waterfall was incredible, and the ATV portion, though short, was still a fun part of the day.
For future guests, I’d recommend confirming the details of the tour ahead of time to avoid any surprises. I’d still consider booking another adventure, but I hope the company can clarify the tour details to ensure expectations match the actual experience.

The machines were well kept and the guides were helpful and friendly. I love that they truly take you off-road this is not driving through easy flat road, it's a true adventure! I will do it again the next time we're here.

Was an amazing experience. We stopped twice, once for hot chocolate and alcohol tasting, the second to spend some time at the beach. The video they took of all of us was great quality and it was just a super fun time. Would definitely recommend!

This was one of the most enjoyable authentic excursions we have ever been on. The guides were extremely friendl and knowledgeable. We didn’t feel rushed at all and the village coffee, cocoa experience was fabulous! I would definitely recommend and plan on booking again in the future.

As far as an ATV tour, it was a little better than average. It was a couple hours worth of riding. Really muddy during my time.

Johnathan and William were the best ! The experience was like no other . Make sure to wear a bathing suit at first for the waterfalls and then bring a change of clothes for lunch and the atv . Definitely was worth every penny and I would highly recommend it . The package with both was the way to go for sure !

We missed the excursions because we didn’t understand the instructions to meet the driver. They sent an email with detailed instructions but we did not have internet so didn’t receive. They very graciously refunded half the cost. My only recommendation would be to send the detailed meeting info with the tickets.

Spent an afternoon doing an ATV ride with my 21 year old son. Although it was a rainy day we had a good experience riding the ATV’s through the along the shore and through the mountains. Good value for the experience.

We had a wonderful experience starting from when William picked us up from the cruise port. He was welcoming and prepped us for the tour. Our tour guide Ray was so awesome! We trailed him on the easy to drive ATV's to some of the local shops and beautiful sites around the island. It was really cool talking to the locals and experiencing their culture. We stopped for delicious fresh coconut! We had a blast and would recommend this tour to anyone looking to have a more personal tour than what's offered through the cruise line.
