Top Dominican Republic Day Trips

This was a long day but worth it. Susie was the absolute BEST guide! She handled the French & English speakers and was amazing. The photographer was also great and so reasonably priced. Montana redonda had spectacular views, the swings (so cool), hammocks, look out tower, and more! The ride up the mountain was an adventure! The ranch & waterfall were even better. The fresh cacao & coconut bread, authentic lunch, waterfall, & clay mud mask are just a few of the highlights of this stop. Such a great look at the real Dominican culture and cooking. Last stop was the national park boat ride and cave exploring- boat were awesome. Beautiful views, lots of birds, cave drawings, and more. It was a lot of driving but Susie provided a ton of really cool information along the way. The whole day felt very relaxed and nothing was rushed. We also didn't feel like any of the three spots were busy or heavily populated with other tours/visitors. Highly recommend if you are looking for a full day excursion, you like nature/adventure, and you want to see the non resort side of the DR!

We had an incredible experience with this tour. The staff was amazing and everything was perfect. Very organized and professional. They picked us up and dropped us off at the cruise port on time. We enjoyed the waterfalls, authentic Dominican lunch, and the tour of the farm. I highly recommend this excursion and would book it again. AMAZING!!!!

Toured various cultural sites, learned about the natural environment including medicinal herbs, fruits, and flowers. Stopped at a local market, historic church, a traditional home, cigar factory and the most amazing restaurant in the mountains (food was soooo delicious)! Our group was too tired to continue to the beach but that was also included. The guide was fabulous! Note that you will stop at a few gift shops but I preferred buying g from the traditional home to support the rural community.

Let me start by saying: WOW! This tour was truly one of the most incredible experiences I've had. From the very beginning, everything was seamless. Pickup was right on time—in fact, Daniel arrived early, which I really appreciated since I was early too! The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and perfect for the day ahead. Daniel, our guide, was informative, attentive, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable to spend the day with. After picking up two other families, he gave us an honest overview of the day, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure everyone was comfortable before heading to the river. He even asked if anyone was craving anything and went out of his way to help people find what they wanted, whether it was cherry juice, ice cream, or a beer. Once we arrived, Daniel and Mistoline gave us a quick warm-up, and then the adventure began! We explored stunning caves with crystal-clear, refreshing water. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. I brought a waterproof phone case, and Mistoline kindly took over as our photographer, which allowed everyone in the group to relax, interact, and enjoy the experience together. I was honestly terrified at times and slipped more than once, but both Daniel and Mistoline were incredibly supportive. They helped me and the other women navigate the more challenging areas safely, making sure everyone felt comfortable and secure. What I appreciated most was that we never felt rushed. After each beautiful cave, we had time to pause, take it all in, and truly appreciate our surroundings. After the tour, we stopped at a local restaurant where the owners treated us like family. We enjoyed a delicious family-style meal, played Dominican dominoes, and drank the coldest Presidente beers I had during my entire trip—especially the Vestida de Novia! On the way back, Daniel even stopped for ice cream before personally dropping each of us off at our destinations. I honestly can't stop recommending this experience. It showed me a completely different side of the Dominican Republic and created memories I'll never forget. Thank you, Daniel and Mistoline, for such an amazing day!

We originally had a switch up with our activity dates and Christopher was VERY accommodating and still showed us a great time! The food, culture, and sites were all great and we were free to ask all types of questions! Not only did we go to the designated spots, he also took the time to show us some real spots to get good food and drinks outside of the popular places. When going to the chocolate and coffee spot, the demonstration was very good and they let us taste the products at their different stages. The lunch was really tasty and very fresh, each of us had 2 plates of food and really enjoyed the hospitality!!! Would highly recommend!

The guides and crew were friendly and accommodating. The trip to Saona Island was one of the highlights of our trip to the DR. There seemed to be less tourists on our Catamaran compared to others that we saw, which I consider a plus. I’d recommend tour to others.

The quality of tour guides was outstanding. The itinerary was excellent. The views of the islands we actually got to see some dolphin and a starfish and a stingray. It was amazing. Your tour guide guides gave us great history on each stop that we made.
