This tour group was very accommodating to work with. We had mistakenly gone to the wrong meeting point and missed the start of the tour. Dave ( owner) was very helpful in getting us to meet up with our tour guide Evelyn. She was very enthusiastic about the history of Castle Hill and the Matthias Church . I was very appreciative of the extra effort this group put out to get us together with our guide. I would highly recommend this tour.

I had a great afternoon in Budapest with Ferenc. He was very knowledgeable and even though the rain, he made this tour a lot of fun. We have visited one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen, the Matias church and had my new favorite cake at a lovely confectionary. Greatly recommended

We were waiting at the meeting point and the guide never showed up. When we called the tour agency they did not answer. We sent a email to the tour agency and they eventually responded to say our guide had a emergency and so our tour was canceled.

Great Buda Castle Experience

Our guide, Laszlo, did a wonderful job showing us around the beautiful Castle district on the Buda side of the river. He was punctual, professional, and friendly. He made the experience memorable by highlighting the social history of the area and relating it to culture, art, architecture, and politics. He tailored the pace of the tour to our group and was an excellent communicator. Do not hesitate to book this tour!

Don’t bother with this tour

I was never informed that the tour was cancelled Monday 10/17. I waited at the meeting point for 1/2 hour before I contacted the tour director only to be told that they forgot to inform me of the cancellation. Terrible customer service. I had planned my entire day around a 2:00pm tour. Very disappointed.

Very Interesting Tour

We loved this tour. It was very interesting. So much history. A beautiful location. Our guide was Danny. He was excellent! Very informative, detail oriented with a great sense of humor. Danny was flexible with the tour. We had already visited Mathias Church so he made arrangements for us to visit the Fisherman’s Bastian instead. The bakery we visited was yummy. I had a piece of Salted Carmel Chocolate cake that was so good. It was included along with a drink of choice with the cost of the tour. We also wanted to take the Funicular to the top of Castle Hill. Danny had the tickets ready for us at the start of the tour. The price of the ride on the Funicular was not included with the tour. I made arrangements directly with Danny. I can not say enough about this tour. Highly recommend it. Enjoy your day at Buda Castle.

Our guide Daniel was one of the best we’ve ever had. Due to my friend’s knee issue he altered the tour slightly, took it at a slower pace and gave her time to rest throughout the tour as he offered insights and commentary on the history of Budapest and this area in particular. Daniel personalized parts of the tour to our interests and also shared personal insights of his own family. This is not to be missed!
