Shady is great!

Shady was our guide today. He was knowledgeable and took time to make sure we saw things we wanted to see. The tour was about a 45 minute car ride out of Berlin. But the time there was packed full with a great lunch recommendation to end our time in the city.

Shadi was an amazing guide! The personalized tour from East Berlin to Potsdam just for me and my 10-year-old…both history buffs. Shadi was professional and knowledgeable, as well as flexible with respect to the weather. While a hiccup with tickets at the Old Palace, Shadi made sure we made the tour. My one and only comment - on me 100% - I wish I would have requested a few formal moments at another tragic historically significant site in the route. But Shadi awesome, patient with children, flexible. Highly recommend!!!

Potsdam Private Walk Tour Disappointment

This is the first tour through Viator I've been really disappointed in. It was supposed to be 6 hours not the 4 1/2 hours he gave us. Also we never stopped at 3 of the places included in the description - Neues Palais (45 min), Dutch Quarter (30 Min) of the Schloss Celienhof (45 min). I really wanted to spend time in the Dutch Quarter which he just drove by and pointed to. For $256 I would have been better off taking public transportation to Potsdam and then taking the bus or a cab to the various sites!

We where traveling as a couple. We had the good experience that Shadi our guide, was ver friendly and very well known of the people at the places we where taken. We took trains to get to Sanssouci, which was good and fast. We walked and took all the inside tours of facilities. Was a beautiful day!

Side trip to Potsdam

We enjoyed our tour to Potsdam with our guide Shadi. He was excellent at keeping our group together, and getting us from train to train from Berlin to Potsdam and back. He presented wonderful information leading up to the sites we visited. Our group of 5 decided to take a side trip to visit the bridge of spies since we had all watched the movie. The only negative Wes, the lunch spot we visited; the service was very slow, and the food wasn’t as advertised. All in all, an excellent day trip.

Fast paced Potsdam Party

We had a great day in Potsdam with Shanti. He even accommodated us and went to bridge of spies after Sansoucci. It is a faced paced tour with a lot of walking…could be a bit slower for our liking. Took train, bus and tram to Potsdam from Berlin. This would be hard to navigate without a guide. Very informative and beautiful tour.

Pottsdam is an Excellent Place to Visit

This Review is in three parts: 1. The town of Pottsdam and the Palaces are a must see. There is so much to see that it would take 2 days. 5 Stars 2. The Tour guide spoke a fast broken English and was hard to understand at times. He also moved very fast and there wasn't enough time to enjoy the sights. We realize that there is much to cover and so little time. 3 Stars 3. Beware of Transportation: We were charged an additional $25/person to cover the transportation which was subway, train and bus. Therefore, don't expect to be pickup by van and taken directly to Pottsdam. 2 Stars

Shadi gave us a great day of sightseeing. Loved walking through the little town and then to see all the wonderful palaces. If you like old German history...do not miss this. lots of walking so wear comfy shoes!! Also not to be missed is the bus up to where the Potsdam Conference was held...where Truman, Churchill, and Stalin decided the future of Germany after WWII. Facinating history!! Rode Trains, busses and had a terrific day!!

I took my my 24 year old daughter to Potsdam. Shadi was a fantastic guide: kind, informative, flexible. I was interested in Frederick the Great and Sanssouci, but even more interested in the Potsdam Conference. He modified our day so that I learned a ton about both subjects. He also gave my daughter some valuable life advice. Fantastic!

Il tour è stato diverso da quanto pubblicizzato sul sito. Sul sito sono descritti giardini e castelli che si visiteranno, tutto incluso nel prezzo, ma in realtà erano previste le visite dei soli giardini. Insistendo è stato possibile visitare l'interno di un solo castello
