Pack a bag with water, a towel, breakfast if you haven’t already had it, and any drinks you’d like for lunch, then make your way to the meeting point by the marina. The coach journey to the Costa Brava beach takes around 1.5 hours.
It’s a good idea to wear your swimwear under your clothes so you can get out on the water as fast as possible rather than lining up for the restroom. Your guides provide all the other kit you need: kayak, paddle, lifejacket, wetsuit, snorkel, and mask.
Spend about 2–3 hours exploring coves, caves, and secret snorkeling spots, where you may get up close and personal with octopus, barracuda, and shoaling fish.
Then it’s time for lunch on the beach, with deli-style sandwiches plus the drinks you’ve brought. You’ll be back at the meeting point around 8 hours after pickup.

- A good swimming ability is mandatory! Please do not book this tour if you don't have decent swimming ability. Non swimmers will not be allowed on the kayaks and you will not be refunded.
- Please if possible come with your swim wear underneath your clothes so we can get on the water as fast as possible. We are right next to the public beach toilets, however, they are quite small and you'll be in a queue to get in. After the activity it's no problem getting changed there.
- Bring plenty of drinking water and have a good breakfast before coming as lunch is not until after the activity
- Please don't rely on taxis in rushour traffic. Its a big city but has great public transport
- Weight limit of 115 kg - the kayak safety rating
- Not recommended for travelers with severe shoulder or back issues
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 12 travelers

We had such a great experience on this kayaking trip. Our guide, Marc was awesome and not only was great for guiding us kayaking, but also shared some of the history of Catalonia. I had read some reviews saying the lunch wasn’t great, but we found the sandwiches to be large, tasty, and filling. We enjoyed the free time after the kayaking and loved finding a restaurant for ice cream and a drink while enjoying the beautiful view.

Tete was a fantastic guide! He was fun, kept us safe, and super knowledgeable. It was incredible to see the caves, kayak along the rocks, and he brought us to the most amazing spot for snorkeling. Rene was an amazing guide. Even though I had zero kayaking experience, he made it super manageable and accommodating to everyone in the group. The beach was beautiful and we saw schools of fish, starfish, and even an octopus. I would consider this an experience absolutely worth your time if you are an able bodied swimmer, with or without prior kayaking experience. Although the cliff diving was a little more strenuous without water shoes, they are not necessary.

Great day on the water with our fantastic guide Marc! Marc was knowledgeable and friendly, knew how to instruct beginner kayakers, and definitely knew the area we were in. As the day went on, it got a little wavy and visibility dropped, so Marc quickly altered course to take us to a calmer spot for snorkeling. I would highly recommend this tour.

Had a wonderful experience with Mateo. Went with my 14-year-old son and wife. Met at the designated location. Check-in was easy. Then we got onto a nice large and spacious than which took us to the Costa Bravo. Once we were there, we were fitted with wet suits, put our stuff in the bag and put our valuables in another bag, which was more secure. Then we got some instructions on how to use the kayak. Then we were off. We first went kayaking to a little cove and then went snorkeling. The waters are crystal clear and we saw a lot of beautiful fish. Afterwards we went to another location to swim and to cliff jump. Once we’re done, we kayak back to the beach where we had lunch and then we had about 45 minutes to relax or to wander on the beach. This was very relaxing since we could just lay on the beach. Mateo did a wonderful job. Two tips bring something that you could put your phone into while you are swimming so it doesn’t get wet. Number two they highly recommend you bring water shoes, but it’s not required but if you want to cliff jump, I would highly recommend that you bring them since the rocks can be hard on your feet

Great trip! Cliff jumping gave 3 different heights, 5 ft, 10ft and maybe 16ft!
Lunch was around 2:00 so bring a snack to eat before you get on the kayaks. You won’t have access to your bag so bring a wet bag for your phone. Sunglasses are a must but wouldn’t bring fancy ones just in case a wave tips you over.

Gerard was a great guide, kind, and very knowledgeable! My group had never kayaked before and he was very patient and made sure everyone was keeping up. You’re not able to bring much with you, but Gerard took lots of pictures & captured a lot of great moments. I would highly recommend this adventure to anyone that is coming to Spain. 10/10 experience!

Gerard was a great guide. Always made sure that we had everything we needed. Very knowledgeable about the area. Kayaked through some great rock formations. Very minimal to no kayaking experience is needed.

This has been the best day trip we’ve booked of our entire Spain vacation! Mateu is a fantastic guide and very kind and considerate of everyone’s snorkel and kayaking experience levels. In the middle of snorkeling I realized that my mask was letting in a lot of water and he was so kind, he offered to switch with me. Cliff diving was a blast! Would recommend this trip to everyone, it was super fun learning how to kayak for the first time

Wonderful trip to Costa Brava. 5 hours of kayaking in open water, around cliffs and into caves. Joyous rock jumping and snorkeling. A truly memorable experience. The host was awesome. To do this trip be advised it is a full 5 hours of kayaking which is not for everyone.

JP led amazing trip off the beaches of Costa Brava through pirate coves and caves. One of the coves has an area where you can jump off different size height cliffs. Icing on the cake was when we were snorkeling JP found two octopus that we got to see it’s their natural habitat. Such an amazing adventure.

Kayak experience was not good. I was with my friend on this tour and was given a kayak. Even after telling the instructor that this was my very first experience with kayaking, no special training or care was offered. Special advice STRICTYLY WHO IS PLANNING TO BOOK THIS TRIP, IF YOU DON’T KNOW SWIMMING, DO NOT COME .
My kayak flipped and the instructor was atleast 500 meters away from me, least concerned about my safety. I rammed into the rocks as it was my first time, got hurt and thus unfortunately had to discontinue the tour and return back walking. Chevito blamed me for the error but how would i listen to him from 600 metres away?
You donot even have an option to return back to your hotel as the tour ends at 1700 hrs so if you discontinue then you will have to wait till you wait for others to return. The instructor instead of listening starting arguing that the paddling was not good enough, despite telling him that it was my first time kayaking.
Had a near death experience, would not recommend anyone this tour if you don't have experience, please don't choose this if your not a pro. Attaching pictures of my injuries during the tour. Takecare and be safe everyone, if you get hurt you are on your own.
I have done snorkelling in Thailand too but the organisers were much more accomodating and caring.

First of all, you are absolutely correct. If you don't know how to swim, you should not come on this tour. This is explicitly stated on the listing, and we agree with your assessment - this tour is on the open ocean and as you don't know how to swim, you should not have come on this tour.
All of our guests receive thorough instructions on the beach about how to maneuver the kayak, how to get in and out, and what to do in case the kayak flips. All of this instruction is standard and suitable for a beginner in kayaking.
I spoke with your guide Chivito whom I highly regard as a professional and he explained your difficulty maneuvering the kayak as well as the fact that when you flipped he was helping another kayak which had the same maneuvering difficulties you were having. After you flipped , you made your own decision to return to the beach.
To be honest, Chivito was shocked by your assessment of the situation as he says that he helped as much as was possible given your abilities on the kayak and in the water.
Sincerely, we want everyone to have a super fun day, and it is not to say that we never make mistakes. We feel bad that you didn't have a good experience. However, in what both you and your guide say I can not find an area where your guide didn't lead you and the group in the the correct way.

Awesome experience! Shout out to Blondie - he was an awesome guide. We did quite a bit of kayaking at the beginning to go far out. Worked perfectly, do all the work before you tire out from the adventure. Enjoyed the snorkeling, saw some starfish, went in some caves and a few in our group held a jellyfish. Then it was time to turn up the adventure for cliff jumping! It was so much fun! If you’re on the fence, you won’t regret this experience m.

This was a very well organized day trip to an extremely beautiful location! Nala was SUCH a great guide -- very fun, kind & accommodating, making everyone feel comfortable & confident with wherever they were at in terms of skill & interest. For example, some of us did the jumps, some didn't, and that was all okay! Overall, it was a lovely day on the water, doing something different, with beautiful sights & very good company.
