All of our tours meet at our Explore Catalunya office, which is directly across from the outside cafe area of the Palau de la Musica. We advise that you arrive 15 minutes before the tour starts.

Depending on the size of the group and the traffic restrictions on the day of the tour, your tour will finish back at the office, or in Placa Catalunya, which is an easy 3-5 minute walk from the office.

Throughout the day, your guide will share photos, helping you piece together what it takes to film and produce the hit show. You’ll recognize settings from both King’s Landing and Braavos—including the steps of the Sept of Baelor.

The tour was awesome! Tourists were able to see the different filming locations of GOT in Girona. The tour leader, Sergio is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and made all the members of the group involved during the tour. He’s always giving us insights and some history of Girona and of course about the GOT filming sites. Also, Sergio drove the car very safely all throughout the trip. Don’t hesitate to ask him for some restaurant and food recommendations. Kudos to Sergio! The lunch included in the tour was delicious and it was a complete course meal! I highly recommend this tour to everyone planning a trip to Barcelona. It’s worth it!

Unfortunately we did not get to experience this tour as the operators informed us that it was not available in our chosen day! Instead we were offered a tour which took us to Girona and the filming sites of Game of Thrones without the commentary. Our guide did provide basic information though. Sadly though, an ice cream and lunch were included in our original tour but we we’re not offered these on our tour and we were also not discounted!
I cannot fault our guide Xavi, he was amazing! I feel the operators could have compensated us though!

The drive is about an hour to get there. Be advised: Girona has a lot of stairs! We enjoyed the tour and the sights. Cam, our tour guide, was very enthusiastic about the locations and the scenes. We both really enjoyed the tour!

Our tour guide, Camilo was friendly, entertaining AND a HUGE GOT fan! After the lengthy tour we got to explore on our own in Girona. Followed by a delicious lunch in the countryside and a stop at a castle with amazing views of the seaside. Was nice to get out of Barcelona for the day and explore.

This was an amazing tour. Sergio, our guide, helped us visualize the scenes filmed in Girona by showing us the pictures as we approached the areas where the scenes were filmed. He knew the movies and the GOT books, therefore there were no details missed. Our lunch was delicious. The castle in Blane’s had spectacular views of Costa Brava. Sergio made the tour feel like we were a group of friends hanging out touring the world. Hats off to Sergio for a wonderful tour of the GOT and Costa Brava.

Sergio was an excellent guide. Gave us history of area on our drive to Girona and once we were there have a great tour which included both history and setting where GOT was filmed. Had great lunch and final stop at a fort with spectacular views. Don’t miss this one!

Our tour guide, Sergio, was amazing. Very informative, helpful and made the trip well worth every penny. I booked 3 trips with Viator ( Sagrada Familia, Game of Thrones / Girona, and Park Guell ) and I can truthfully say Game of Thrones is the best. Sergio made sure everyone in the group had a great time and he was attentive to each one of us. We learnt a lot during this trip. He not only took us places, but told us about each location we visited. That’s one quality of a great tour guide.

I cannot even believe how fabulous this tour was. Our tour director Sergio was fantastic. He got everyone involved and he was do animated. Gerona was a treat and visiting the season 6 set of GOT was incredible. Farm house lunch was delicious and the castle spectacular. Highly recommend this tour!

Sergio’s book showing GOT scenes to correspond to the places was awesome. The lunch spot was authentic local and amazing. Highly recommend tour. The popsicle at end of Girona tour was a nice touch.

The day was amazing. The sites are beautiful. You do not need to be a Game of Thrones fan to enjoy this trip. Our guide was excellent. The food was great, in a restored farmhouse. I would highly recommend this tour, whether you are a fan or not.

Touring a medieval town and the Palace of Palafolls was mesmerizing. This tour was a highlight of our trip, and Sergio gave us much to talk about and tips to explore parts of Barcelona, beyond this specific tour.

Sergey was a wonderful guide. He was very knowledgeable about Girona as well as the tie ins to Game of Thrones. We appreciated learning about the history of the region as well as the perspective of someone living and working around Barcelona. Stopping for lunch at an authentic Catalan restaurant was a highlight.

Great tour for fans and also for those unaware of the show. The Girona tour was fun and insightful. The castle ruins were the favorite of my 11 and 13 year old sons. A little free time to shop, or enjoy a beverage at a cafe. Wonderful trip !
