Wonderful tour. Great information about street artists, the art and the role it plays in parts of Athens.
A delightful experience. I picked the small group option and as it turned out I had a private tour! Penelope was beyond awesome. Once she learned about my passion for art and theater, she walked me by some small theaters and an arts collective which was really interesting. She is delightful, funny and incredibly knowledgeable. Book this tour!
Excellent walk around to see fantastic and thought provoking street art. Our guide Penelope was excellent and shared loads of interesting info.
What an incredible 2.5 hours! We learnt so much about Athens through its amazing spray-can urban artworks - both legal and illegal. It’s great to see the socio-economic, environmental, political and cultural history of Athens reflected in such a vivid mix of murals, sticker art, slogans and stencils. I’ve enjoyed these types of tours in other worldwide cities - Mexico City, Belfast, Bogota, Rio, Madrid and many others - and iye guide for Athens, Penelope, was a superb. My daughter is 16 and it was her first Urban Art Tour and she really enjoyed it, especially as Penelope engaged directly with her and was so open and knowledgeable.
The perfect mix of walking and stopping to explore the fabulous street art hidden in plain site. Penelope was a wonderful guide who knew her stuff- a nice mix of folklore, history and artist information and background. We did this tour the day we arrived in Athens and it was a nice way to get acclimated.
I love art so I was excited to participate on this street art excursion. Penelope was our guide and she was friendly, engaging and very knowledgeable. We saw some amazing art, learned about the artists and history, and got to go off the beaten path which I really enjoyed. This was a 10/10 experience and I highly recommend it.
Lots of information and interesting stories. I was great to visit further neighborhoods that tourists usually omit. It could last even 30 min longer to cover more art works .

Anyone who comes to Athens will notice the graffiti tagging however this tour tells you the full history and shows loads of amazing work done by street artists. The tour very much surpassed my expectations, it has been the highlight of my trip to Athens! 😄 My tour guide was fantastic, super friendly and also had a deep knowledge of all the murals and their history and meaning.
I had one of the best street art tours ever with Penelope. She had a great background knowledge of the murals/pieces she showed me and it was a lot of fun to discover the city through her eyes, also to see the less touristic places.
I did not know what to expect, but this tour was really fun and educational. It was also a cool way to explore different parts of the city. We saw multiple street artists’ works, learned about techniques and meanings behind their art, and learned how to identify different artists’ work. Our tour guide also included cultural elements when appropriate. I highly recommend this tour!
We loved learning about Athen’s street art from Penelope. She was very knowledgeable and gave us background on many of the artists. We would recommend this tour to our friends and family!

Being an urban dweller, a lover of art and history this tour exceeded my expectations.
I can’t give enough high praise to the tour guide Penelope. Her knowledge of the history as it related to the urban street art both politically and historically was incredibly impressive. She not only made the experience educational but also a lot of fun.

We thoroughly enjoyed our street art tour! Greg was knowledgeable, kind, and tailored the tour to our interests. It was so interesting to see the different styles of street art around the city and learn the history and culture of the street art community in Athens. I cannot recommend this tour enough for anyone interested in urban art or art in general!
Greg was very enthusiastic and informative on the street art. We got to places we never would have found on our own.
Katerina was a wonderful tour guide. She promptly met us at the assigned meeting spot (in front of a pastry shop near Monastiraki Square) and introduced herself to our small group of four. Since we all knew each other already, she asked us a few questions so she could learn a little about us and the type of information and art we might be most interested in hearing about and seeing during our tour. She also gave us a quick overview of the route we would be taking on this walking tour as well as a little background about street art vs grafitti.
As we walked, she pointed out many diverse examples of art on the buildings and explained the historical, religious, philosophical, and political meanings possibly linked to these pieces of art. She also encouraged us to share our interpretations. She answered our questions and offered insites about the culture of this city. Since this was our first full day in Athens, she also offered some recommendations about how to have a safe and enjoyable visit.
The entire tour lasted 2 hours and we walked about a mile. For us, the tour ended very near our hotel, so that worked great. There is also a Metro stop there so it is easy to return to another area of the city, if needed.
This was a great alternative to seeing more ruins and a nice way to learn about some of the more current Greek history and local Athens culture. Highly recommend!
In addition to seeing interesting street art and learning about its history, we were also exposed to different neighborhoods in Athens that gave a totally different view of the city.
It was a great tour! And the tour leader, Gregory was really awesome. He was extremely helpful and knowlegeable, and made the tour very enjoyable.
It was a very interesting tour, many details about the artists, the context of every painting. I strongly recommend it for art lovers.

Our tour guide, Mr. Greg ( Gregory ) was really do his best to tell us alot of interesting stories behind of the street art, current issue in Athens with passion & love.
