I love Athens at night! Our guide was excellent!! We learned so much history and had the best time. He took us to many hidden diamonds as he called them. Remarkable night. Had yummy food and can not recommend this tour enough!!! Be prepared to walk, but at a very manageable pace with stops along the way. Thank you for a fantastic night! See you next time. Book it!!

Spyros took us to many places in the old city and took plenty of time to explain the history, to us. We had some great food and experienced some street life at night - it was a fantastic tour

Walking tour takes you all around the Acropolis. We saw quite a bit and Spyros was passionate about Athens . Answering any questions we had and telling us many stories. Best guide we have had on this entire trip. Don’t hesitate to book Spyros for any tours. Don’t miss the treats at the end!!

Great tour. Our guide met us on time and provided great insight. He navigated us through the city, made recommendations, and helped us experience the vibe of Athens. We went in one of our last nights but would recommend taking this tour as early in your trip as possible. It is a great way to get to know the city of Athens.

On Friday, June 6th, 2025 after leaving the beautiful Island of Heraklion we made our way to historical Athens excited to learn and explore! We were paired with our tour guide Spyros and we immediately hit it off as we were chit chatting to our first stop at the City Center. We watched the changing of the guards and Spyros took us through the entire process and explained the meaning, how the soldiers received their post and the honor to be selected. This was just the beginning into the journey that we would explore history in the most amazing way. The best way to describe Spyros is that he is an amazing story teller! If you want to learn about Athen’s past as present you must book Spyros because he has a phenomenal way of capturing your attention through story telling. The most memorable moment was the stop we made as we sat on a ledge in the street with the Acropolis in our view. Spyros took us through centuries of information regarding the multiple battles between the Persians and the Athenians and how history was shaped! He introduced us to the stories of the Greek Gods and the roles they play in Greek Mythology. Spyros also broke down Greek words and names to provide us an understanding how certain movements were formed such as Democracy and Theater. Another thing we enjoyed is that he would ask us questions to help lead us to the history being shared. Beyond the historical stories Spyros walked us through various parts of Athens where we enjoyed the best Gyros/Souvlaki and Loukoumades! When I say we had the best we literally did… enough so that we repeated the same meals next day as we explored Athens on our own! If you want to have a tour filled with education, one that you will remember what you learned and also experience amazing food please book Spyros for the Athens By Night Walking Tour!!!

The evening tour was a great way to get accustomed with the city of Athens. Our guide Spyros is knowledgeable about the history of the city in the important places to see. Meeting up with him was very easy and from there he took us on a walk of all the major city center areas stopping to see things like the changing of the guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier as well as other important historical sites.
The food we had on the walk was excellent and Spyros also gave us great recommendations on his own personal favorite places around city center.
This is a great way to introduce yourself to Athens city center.

Me (39) and my niece (18) took this walking tour and it was wonderful! We knew little about the history of Athens or the mythological stories and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, fun, and adaptable to what we wanted to learn and see. Kiki is a very knowledgeable tour guide. She showed us some of the main sites of the city, which were all beautifully lit up. She gave us a detailed history of the city as we walked, I learned a lot! She was pleasant and allowed us time to take pictures and take a better look. I would highly recommend a night walking tour! It was fun and informative.

The tour covers interesting sites that might go unseen on other tours. The tour guide Kiki was very knowledgeable about all the sites visited. It was a very enjoyable experience and I highly recommend the tour.

Excellent host. Good bit of walking but Jenny took us to lots of places and gave us a good bit of history. Extra points to her for continuing the tour when there was very heavy rain on, we enjoyed it.

We met Natalie at the Arethusa hotel near Syntagma Square and spent almost 3 hours wandering thru downtown Athens. Natalie was very well informed on the local history, showed us the best souvlaki in town. It was very fun and informative. Definitely would recommend! Would love to do it again.

what an amazing private tour with a wonderful guide. Athens is a beautiful city at night and it really comes to life once the lights come on. Not only are the monuments breathtaking and really amplified, but the stores, bars and nightlife adds to the experience. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history of all monuments and provided great details on their history and role. She knew the area like the back of her hand and showed us all of the little gems off the beaten path. Our guide was very friendly and really connected with us on a personal level, making us feel very special and welcomed. Highly recommend!
