This tour was amazing! I found the tour “Private City Tour of Athens” with Greece Athens Taxi from a link my local travel agent sent me. Marina reached out to me right away, confirming our booking and let me know what other services they offer. One was airport pickup, which I immediately booked. Our driver was Andreas, who was also our tour guide. Our tour was the day after our arrival in Athens. When Andreas picked us up, he graciously took us to a local coffee shop, so we could get coffee and a quick bite for breakfast. Andreas took us all over Athens. This is what we saw, maybe not in the correct order. The Acropolis (GAT secured our skip the line tickets) and Mars Hill (Andreas was very detailed about how to get to Mars Hill after we left the Acropolis). The Changing of the Guards, Olympic Stadium, a fantastic view of the city of Mount Lycabettus, and the colleges. By the time we got to the colleges, we were exhausted, so we took pictures with Plato and Aristotle on another day. The entire time, Andreas was telling us details of different neighborhoods, museum locations, monuments, and the symbolism of the Guards' uniform, he is very knowledgeable, detailed, and answered any questions. Our tour ended with a drop off in Monastiraki for shopping. Andreas has become my go-to for airport pickups and drop offs and tours. I highly recommend Greece Athens Taxi.

Excellent experience from booking to communication with Operator (Marina) and then the actual tour with Spyros.
The tour is set up to be tailored to whatever you want to see and though the driver is not a guide our experience with Spyros was that he was as knowledgeable as any guide and shared pertinent information regarding the sites and Athens in the general. Great experience, highly recommend.

We booked this tour to fill the space from our cruise disembarkation until our room was ready for check in, and I’m so glad we did! Our guide was Andreas and he seemed to know everyone in Athens (which was a good thing!). He timed our tour perfectly to where we didn’t have to wait in any lines, and we were able to store our five big bags in the van while we toured the city. Perfect option for anyone looking for a way to fill time either pre or post cruise!

Book it! Book it now with Andreas as your driver! After a long flight I was met inside the terminal to begin my private tour. Andreas was the best guide/driver I had in all of Europe. He is a very professional driver and has a passion for the history of his city. His expertise is second to none! Next time I am in Athens I will be using this tour again!

Costantino was wonderful, one of the hotel reservations was changed at the last minute and he picked us up at one hotel and then one block from the other hotel ( the street was too narrow for the minivan). He prepurchased tickets for us and we paid him so we didn’t wait in line. One of our party became lightheaded and he took us early to our cruise dock at our request. I highly recommend this precruise excursion.

Over priced! I didn't quite understand the tour operator's communication. They ended up charging an additional $250 to take us to the airport on top of the $347.00 tour. The average cab ride is $67.00. They said that they booked us for an entire day, but our 9:50pm flight was canceled so we had to get to the airport to try and change the flight to a 3:30pm flight. He dropped us off at 2:00pm and left.

Your review is both misleading and unfair, especially considering the full transparency and multiple confirmations throughout our interactions.
First, let’s clarify something: the $347.00 you paid through the platform covered only the standard tour you originally booked. When you made the booking, the platform clearly listed the services included, which were strictly for the tour itself and nothing beyond that. Every additional service you requested—such as the airport transfer and the tour extension—came after the initial booking and was communicated to you with a clear breakdown of costs. You were informed multiple times that there would be an additional charge of $250 for these extra services, and we have documented proof of your explicit confirmation of these charges.
From the very beginning, we went above and beyond to accommodate your requests. You originally booked a standard tour, and we upgraded you to a larger vehicle for your extra luggage and arranged a pickup from the port—all at no additional cost. When you asked for an airport drop-off, we clearly informed you of the extra charge for the transfer, which you explicitly accepted. Additionally, when you requested to extend the tour and have lunch before the transfer, we once again provided full details of the extra costs, which you agreed to in writing.
Let me remind you that we have the entire conversation documented, including your multiple acceptances of the charges. We even applied a discount to the additional services and offered a complimentary Acropolis ticket as a goodwill gesture. Despite your flight cancellation, we stayed flexible and helped you navigate the situation. When the flight was rescheduled earlier, we still met all your demands and dropped you off as agreed.
We find it unacceptable that after all these efforts, you are now disputing charges that were transparently communicated and fully accepted by you. Every service we provided, including the tour extension and airport transfer, was agreed upon beforehand.
I would also like to point out that over the years, we have received numerous positive reviews from many satisfied customers. We consistently strive to provide the best possible experience for our clients, and we use all feedback to improve our services further. Our commitment to transparency and customer satisfaction is evident in the trust we've built.
This review misrepresents the facts, and we stand by the fairness of our pricing and the quality of our services. We have been nothing but transparent and accommodating throughout this process, and it's disappointing to see this kind of feedback after fulfilling everything as requested.

Our driver, Andreas was professional, personable and very pleasant to be with for 4 1/2 hours. He had some very good overviews for us and planned a great itinerary with appropriate stops along the route. He was also great to communicate through WhatsApp and we never had trouble reuniting after we had done a venue. His Mercedes was clean and very comfortable and it was a five star tour

There is a lot of walking in this tour, it is very hot, and be very cautious of personal items in the crowds. The driver was very knowledgeable and friendly however.

Only note I’d make is that a tour guide to enter places like the Acropolis is not included. You will have to do self tours.
