Showcased many of van gogh's self portraits, his irises in a vase, and many of his lesser known paintings. Sunflowers was in a temporary exhibit. The audio tour was very informative and interesting, allowing you to hear about his life and specific paintings. Loved it! Pictures were allowed.

Get the audio device. It’s a huge difference. Also, tour being broken up into different eras of Van Gogh’s life was pretty cool.

Museum was evacuated just prior to our entry time. They could not tell us why or how long it would be until it re-opened. We tried going back multiple times the same day but they could not give us any information if the museum would re-open that day. We eventually gave up rather than spending our entire day waiting. Viator sold these as non-refundable and we cannot find my way to inquire about a refund given this was not within our control.

You received tickets from us on Viator messenger and also on your WhatsApp; however, you didn't contact us on that day about your evacuation. We sell nonrefundable tickets due to the last-minute cancellations. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience you faced.

Great museum. We did the self walking audio tour. It was very informative and interesting. We only had time for the permanent collection. Will have to come back to see whatever temporary one is there.

Museum is magnificent. Too many people there to fully enjoy. Behavior of guests was poor in enough cases to mar the experience, e.g. walking between patiently waiting guests and the artwork to get selfies or a number of photos for their group.

Lots to see at the van Gogh Museum. It is multiple levels and there are quite a few people there hoping to see the paintings. Would have enjoyed seeing more than one sunflower painting.

Fantastic experience. I arrived in Amsterdam not thinking that I needed the ticket to the Van Gogh Museum. However, I was told that they were fully booked for the three days that I was there, and I quickly looked on Viator where I found a posting on Van Gogh Museum tickets with an audio tour included. Granted, the price was naturally about double to triple the ticket cost at the museum, but I was able to get a ticket secured within 24 hours. When I made my reservation, I received an email and a notification via WhatsApp from my organizer saying that they would contact me and bill me once they found a guaranteed spot for me. I received the ticket and the service was exceptional!

Really nice museum! Learned a lot, saw some great art. Didn’t realize The Starry Night isn’t featured in Amsterdam which is a bit disappointing, but still enjoyed the experience.

Recommend if you’re in a bind and need Van Gogh museum tickets! I bought tickets from this third party vendor because I waited too long and could not get tickets through the official website, or through Ticketswap/Tiquets. The tickets were very expensive, but I was willing to pay it to get my parents into the museum. The tickets were sent to me in PDF the night before the date/time in a separate email from the Viator confirmation emails. I had no trouble entering with the tickets and all worked out perfectly.

As far as the price is concerned, the tickets for the Van Gogh Museum are sold a month in advance, and you get the ticket, which is a great thing. The price is not an issue here: you get to experience it, while everything sold out.

It costs 24 Euro for admission ticket and 3.75 for headset. Which is about 55 Euro for 2 people. Viator charged us $144 for a timed admission. To date I felt Viator a reasonably priced outfit, but was disappointed to learn about this extraordinary upcharge.

Having the audio guide allowed elaboration of the works from Van Gogh and other artists. The pace of going from room to room & various floors was good. Not sure it would have been as nice of an experience without the audio guide descriptions.

The museum is fabulous - figuring out how to get the tickets was confusing. They don’t accept the voucher at the door nor at the ticket window at the Museum shop. I had to locate the tickets in an email. Also, you can’t bring any food, plants etc into the museum. We had gone to Keukenhof in the morning and had to store our purchases in a public locker nearby. Otherwise, it was a really wonderful experience.
