Dr. Vitka absolutely made...

Dr. Vitka absolutely made this tour. You can tell right away he isn’t just reading from a script. As a Salem local, historian, and paranormal investigator, he knows the city inside and out, and his passion for the subject comes through in every story. I really liked that he didn’t just stick to the usual witch trial history. He mixed in the paranormal, local legends, vampire lore, and even talked about modern ghost hunting techniques and his own experiences investigating around New England. Whether you’re a believer or a skeptic, he makes it interesting without trying to force anything on you. The stories about Salem’s darker history and the lesser-known locations were some of my favorite parts. He also has a great sense of humor, so the tour never feels dry or like a history lecture. If you’re trying to decide which tour to take in Salem, I’d have no problem recommending this one. It was informative, entertaining, and one of the highlights of our trip.

This is an informative and fun walking tour around the main streets of Salem. Walking surfaces are uneven so good walking shoes recommended. It’s a decent amount of time to get in the historical facts and still have time to enjoy the local shops & restaurants. Chris was a great tour guide that shared the history and more recent facts about his hometown. He welcomed questions and friendly dialogue along the way.

The tour was very interesting and well done. April was a very engaging and knowledgeable host, who is a local person with a long family history in the area. She took us to many sites and gave us a fuller picture of Salem’s amazing history. She answered all of our questions and made it fun. I went with my ten year old grandchild who really enjoyed all of the stories the way April told them.

This was a wonderfully fun and calm experience. After a week of walking and experiencing a fun vacation in Maine and Salem this class was just what the doctor ordered! The instructor was so pleasant and talked me through every step of the process ensuring my broom was secure and made correctly. The choice of materials gave everyone endless opportunities to make their own unique brooms that reflected their personalities. I came home with something I love that is a happy reminder of my trip and I cannot wait to display it in my home! Highly recommend!!

We loved the interaction with all of the guests, the trust to allow us to use their private quarters, and the quality of care these men give the schooner. I would gladly come back and bring more family with me to enjoy this experience. I was the tiny 60 yr old lady that quickly volunteered to assist in hoisting the main sail. I believe it was July 3rd. :-) Great JOB!!!!

Super informative. Great experience overall. She was very knowledgeable and made it fun and interesting. Most vital to me. She made it honest and respectful for the dead. She shared the history in a way that helped me realize that some of those attitudes are pervasive still today and there wouldn't be a huge leap to have similar horrors done today. I learned so much and am grateful for having gone. Sarah was amazing.

We had an amazing time on the Booze and Brews Tour in Salem, Massachusetts! The tour was the perfect mix of local history, great drinks, and fun atmosphere. Our guide was knowledgeable, entertaining, and made every stop interesting with fascinating stories about Salem's past. The breweries and pubs we visited each had their own unique charm, and we got to sample some fantastic local beverages along the way. The pace was relaxed, giving us plenty of time to enjoy the drinks, explore the locations, and meet other people on the tour. Whether you're visiting Salem for the first time or you're a local looking for a fun outing, I highly recommend the Booze and Brews Tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and we can't wait to do it again!
