Overview
See Glacier National Park in a way that few people get to with this half-day whitewater rafting tour. You'll get your bearings paddling through a calm stretch of water before making your way to the John Stevens Canyon, where you'll tackle a variety of thrilling rapids. A guide will be with you throughout your adventure and beginners are welcome to join in on the fun.

Traveling east on Highway 2 from Columbia Falls, Great Northern is on the left side of the highway a half-mile before the turn onto the Going to the Sun Highway toward Glacier National Park. Look for the Red Caboose! We ask that all guests arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled trip time.

Great Northern rafting company was a great experience. Our guide Addie could not have been better. She was so knowledgeable and so friendly. We enjoyed our 3 hour adventure and would love to come back and do it again! Beautiful scenery, beautiful water and all around just plain fun!

This was our first time white water rafting and it waa such a great experience! All the staff were so friendly. Grace, our guide, was phenomenal! So great and navigating and so much fun to hang out with. 10/10 highly recommend!

We had a great time with our raft guide, Genevieve! Fun activity for everyone. Several rapids, but also stretches of scenic river where you can just enjoy the view, and a stretch where you can jump in the water.

Great time. Three hours rafting down the Flathead River. Our guide was Devin. He was very knowledgeable about the area and had a great sense of humor. Very hard-working. Very reasonable price. Great experience.

Loads of fun and exuberance with calm portions and rapid portions. The beauty of Flathead River mixed with the personality of the guides made for a good time.
We went 9 miles among the vast expanse of mountains in life vests, helmets and secured footwear. The whole time tidbits of information about the area and history of the river were shared. Safety instructions were clear and concise, given in encouragement as to not fear falling into the rapids. No one fell but there were squeals of delight.

We booked the half day whitewater rafting. It was absolutely amazing!!! The staff were the best I’ve ever seen in any service area! They were fun, informative, and made everyone feel safe. Our guide, Caroline, was so much fun and had a great positive attitude. The river was GORGEOUS and the rapids were great for our family. We recommend this group 10/10!

It was a blast! We went on the 3:15pm raft with Maria. She was very kind and welcoming. She engaged with our teen daughters and overall was such a lovely guide. We absolutely would go again. Must book with Great Northern — a family owned company.
