Wow, what a wonderful experience! The tour gave a great overview of life in Sitka, while also visiting the must see Sitka attractions.
Cora was a fantastic tour guide. She has extensive knowledge of Sitka history and the local culture. I highly recommend this tour and would take it again in a nanosecond!
Cora was great and patient and knowledgeable. Enjoyed seeing the bears at Fortress of the Bears, Totems and the salmon runs. So fun and liked the size of the group.
Our guide Cora was very knowledgeable about the area. Nice clean shuttle. Made it back in plenty of time to walk around the cruise area.

Excellent tour with exceptional service that went beyond expectations. We encountered rain that detoured normal tour functions but our guide more than made up for it.
Our tour guide was a book of knowledge about Sitka. His wife is a Sitka native so he had so much to share. It was a solid day of rain but we all made the most of it. Fortress of the bear was awesome! Don’t miss it.
We were able to take an earlier tour than the one we booked which was great because then we were not wandering around a couple hours in the rain. We traveled in a van so set assured this is not a big bus tour. Very personalized. If your going to book a trip to sight see this company is a great choice. Thank you Daryl for a awesome tour
Our guide was so informative, we loved learning about Sitka from her. We felt like she was a friend taking us around town. And she has deep family roots in the town which made her stories so interesting!
The entire team was fabulous. Molly was gracious at the meet point and Darrell was a top notch tour guide. His depth of knowledge on the history of Sitka made the tour FIVE STARS!

The guide, Cora, was local and very informative! We got information on this tour that I have not heard on multiple previous trips to Sitka so I was very happy to have taken it. The tour van was modern and comfortable. It was a smaller tour in size which is better than the huge tours you get from cruise ships. We were able to hear and understand the guide clearly. The Fortress of the Bear is a must see in Sitka and this tour was amazing! We arrived at feeding time and it was a special treat to watch the bears interact with the handlers. The guide, Cora, was especially great at telling us all about the bears. It was a wonderful tour we recommend to everyone. As a note, we are older, hearing impaired and a little mobility challenged but the tour was amazing!
Hits the highlights and Darryl was knowledgeable and friendly. Each location we stopped at was worthwhile and a nice way to squeeze a lot into a short amount of time!
Every aspect of Sitka Tundra Tours and their service was exceptional. Cruise ship changed arrival; Molly adapted and communicated changes; Daryll, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and clearly had a passion for his work. The itinerary was perfect for us including wildlife, nature, culture, and history.
Darryl was excellent - loved the tour. Got some amazing pictures and Silver Bay and the bears were really cool.
This is a fun little tour, cheaper than what the ship offers. Our guide was knowledgeable. My only critique is I would have liked less time on Japonski Island and more time at Totem Park. The bears are definitely a highlight of this tour.
Great tour operator, and our guide Anne Marie was awesome!!! She has lived in Sitka for over 30 years and was super-knowledgeable about the history and the town in general. She was as sweet as can be, took time to answer our questions and took many great pictures of our family every time we asked her to. We would definitely recommend this tour, this company and this tour guide especially.
This was a lot of fun and a learning experience. I could tell the tour guide cared a lot and put all her effort into making this a great experience for us. We saw so many bald eagles up close!
Enjoyed the bears a lot! The rainforest was nice and the totem poles interesting. Guide was knowledgeable and the owner was very helpful and friendly
We absolutely loved this tour! Annamarie is very knowledgeable as she lived in Sitka for over 30 years. She was great at spotting eagles for us and stopping for photos. Seeing the bears was the absolute highlight of the tour! I'd highly recommend this tour for everyone.
