Champ was an excellent tour guide. He knew a lot of history about Savannah. We didn’t visit as many places as I thought we would, but I highly recommend this tour.

Very informative tour. Our guide, Champ, gave us a lot of Savannah history. He was very knowledgeable and kind. The ear piece listening device was very helpful for everyone to hear him. The pace of the tour was easy; not rushed at all. Would highly recommend this tour.

Take an umbrella. Our tour rained out unfortunately. Probably made it 3/4 through and then the skies opened up. That being said, we still enjoyed it.

It was nice to have the earpieces so that we could easily hear even in a large group. They were kind enough to give us earbuds for our kids. Great way to see and learn about Savannah

Rodney Steward is indeed a historian who knows the details of all that he addresses on the walking tour. He does a wonderful of infusing history with a spontaneous sense of humor as well as a practical knowledge of where to get the best gelato and coffee!

A wonderful tour with a very knowledgeable guide, who gave us such a great insight to the foundations, the history, the population and the culture of the city.
Small touches such as stopping only when they were shaded for all members of the party were very much appreciated as well. A high recommend!

Excellent tour you should do early during your stay in Savannah. The guide was excellent— personable, had a wealth of knowledge about Savannah, and really connected with those of us taking the tour. He also offered many suggestions of places to eat and visit that helped us days after taking the tour. A highlight of my 5 day stay in Savannah.

Rodney is a great historian. Learned a lot from the time period. Rain did not even deter the experience
Julie_K, May 2026
Fantastic guide, provided enough history of each location to make it interesting but not too much for any one location. Time well spent learning about the history of Savannah!
