This was a fun half day activity for us on a cloudy day. We loved seeing all the mansions along the canals and we got to see part of the city that we would not have experienced without a car.
My main complaint is the app and finding one of the “20” starting points. There are actually 3 taxi routes, which is amazing but the app did not explain. The app really needed to have the paper map that was available at each stop. I called the Viator helpdesk to find the stop nearest me. They were very pleasant and gave me the ‘closest’ stop to my hotel, which I confirmed was on the app. An hour later, we found the actual stop, NOT where the app and helpdesk said they would be. On the way home we discovered that the closest stop was 900 feet from our hotel!
Last note, the water taxi is popular and there were two occasions where the taxi was full and could not take everyone at the stop. Patience and flexibility required.

We used the water taxi all day to explore the entire area, from 10am to 8pm. Our first 3 captains were accommodating, allowing my husband to sit on PFD to ease his back and leg pain on the hard benches. But the last captain barked orders are his bartender, belittled a passenger, and refused our requess for a PFD. He said they were for safety not comfort, even though there were far more available than the 9 adults and one baby on board. We ended up using an Uber to return from Pompano to our car at your 17th street stop rather than run into the perk.

Enjoyable ride with pretty view
Need to mark areas better for pickups. We got on around 600 and did one loop. If what the guy said was true about properties and yachts I can only ever visit fort lauderdale.

Agreed meeting place was closed and no notification to me. We waited for boat 45 minutes then called. Notified of closure then. Finally after waiting another 45 minutes got on boat and had a wonderful day. Boat experience was great, scheduling and communication was horrible.

My wife and I did a full circuit of the Ft. Lauderdale water taxi route after getting off a cruise ship at Port Everglades Terminal 2 and before our evening flight home. It was a manageable walk to the nearest stop, and there may have been a way to cut through the parking garage / convention center that we didn't use to make the walk even shorter.
I think a lot of the experience depends on a level of luck regarding what tour guide you get. Our first was more casual and our second was more chatty and pushed the partner deals a little harder.
Five stars for the double-decker boat, three stars for the small boat. The double-decker boat had a comfortable inside area along with some nice upper and lower seating, and didn't sway much at all. The small boat, especially at a few stops with more flow through the canal going port-to-starboard, really rocked side to side. I don't get seasick often, but I was feeling it.
I'm a sucker for boat tours in general and it was nice to be on the boat with a little breeze coming through the windows. It's neat to see all the expensive homes and giant yachts, but it gets a bit repetitive. There were several stops with good dining options.

A nice way to see Fort Lauderdale and learn a bit about the area. Compared to other hop on/hop off excursions I have done in other cities, this one falls in the "average" range.

The shuttle service was very good. The crew did a great job of explaining each stop and maintaining the shuttle schedule. I would recommend the service for anyone interested in taking a tour to see the local sites as well as the beautiful homes and yatchs

S started out a little sketchy as we were not sure the WaterTaxi was going to pick us up. We were waiting for quite some time at Pier 66 better directions could be given on what to do for pick up other than that. The tours was great. The moderators were entertaining.

It was fun and relaxing. It was a great way to see another side of Ft Lauderdale. The yachts and houses were interesting, but the information about the waterways was both entertaining and mind boggling! We all enjoyed the relaxing mode of transportation!

The tour is great. You ask a question and the workers tell you to get off and wait for a diffrent boat. The question that was asked is where do you stop next. The customer service is horrible. The workers name was eddie.

Water taxi was smooth sailing, great captains, friendly, upbeat and have a wonderful narrative of what we were seeing. Give yourself at least 5-6 hours to take just the Ft. Lauderdale tour and get off at a stop to explore don’t miss Las Olnas at stop F2 & F1
