We were very discourage with the process getting on to the trolley from our cruise ship. I felt that the process was very poorly planned on a port day knowing you have hundreds of people trying to get on their excursion. We have many trolleys come to stop 15 that were only able to take on a small handful of people each time. This barely moved the line. We waited in line for almost an hour an a half before enough people called to complain and FINALLY empty trolleys were sent. This is very frustrating when you have just a few hours to take the tour and an hour and a half was wasted waiting to start our tour. When we called to find out what was going on, we were given a third number to call. That person (unfortunately did not get a name) was very rude. The highlight was when we did get on the trolley by Cheers, we had a wonderful tour guide. Burn-Zee was awesome. He was very informative and funny. We were not disappointed with him at all just the process by which the hundreds of people from the ship were handled. I would think twice before doing this tour again if I were to ever come back to Boston on a cruise ship and would warn anyone I know of this terrible process.
We hopped off and walked about 4 miles....Then, hopped back on and rode the balance of the basic Boston Tour. The bus actually delivered us back right to our cruise ship. Thanks so much. Boston was a fun day. BTW, from our NCL cruise ship the "Hop On" location was right beside our cruise port. We did have to wait about 45 minutes for a trolley to pick us up.
The wait times were way too long. We waited over 40 minutes multiple times. They acknowledged the problem and will send a refund. We’ll give them another try in a different city.
Excellent way to get a quick overview of the city, and then to use the trolleys to move about the city.
It was so easy and fun to hear all about Boston on the trolley. The hop on and off made it great to see all the sights.
Trolleys never came. Waited 30 minutes at two different stops (number 6 and number 9). The trolleys never arrived and lines became extremely long. We ended up walking the route instead and didn’t use the tickets pick a different tour!
Standing in line foralmost an hour, and still no bus. We are really disappointed that our port time is being wasted.

Quick overview of downtown Boston, history and local culture. It was a perfect way to see the city on a cold, windy day.
Contrary to our wonderful experience with the hop-on hop-off trolleys in Key West, Boston sucked. All trolleys were full after getting on the first one first thing in the morning. We hopped off at stop 6, Cheers, and could never get back on any of the other trolleys because they were full until 3pm. We finally took an Uber for $15. Never again in any city.
Difficult to purchase tickets i ended up purchasing 2 sets of 2 each and hope to figure out how to get reimbursed for the extra 2 tickets I got charged for.
Trip slower around the entire cycle than promoted. Journey is highlighted or lessened by the driver. One of ours had too much personal opinions. Wait was longer to catch trolly to back bay at 7
Easy areas to get on. Knowledgabe guides. Very good timing of catching a new trolley every 1/2 hour.
When a cruise ship is in port, be prepared to wait to board. Strollers and differing mobility could participate.
Very good. There are plastic windows that obscure the view for pictures what all you do is roll them up and it fixes that issue. Sometimes even though the driver is very good with their narration, it's hard to figure out what building or what landmark they are referring to. The site passed by quickly. Some of the busy months like October, you have to wait for a couple of buses because they are all full. Next time we will stay longer and get a multi-day pass.

Well worth the money. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and easy to understand. Made our experience in Boston even better than expected. Did before walking the Freedom Trail which was most helpful.
Lots of tips throughout ride regarding places to eat, favorite bakeries (Mike’s), which stops were really worth seeing etc.
Appreciated all the input from two fantastic drivers, Sue and Beanie.
Lots of Fun and got a lot of great information from the drivers. Burn Zee was a real hoot. Made the ride worth every penny!!
We traveled with Gem, Spenser & Cog, each one brought their own enthusiastic flair to our interaction. Tour is a fabulous way to gain a foundation from which to explore Boston as novice. My only negative was that the trolley seats were not that comfortable when seated through the whole tour.
Each bus driver we had was helpful with loading and unloading my husband’s wheelchair. Each driver also gave interesting information about the sights along the way, and added their own entertaining humor sometimes. The ticket sales reps were also very helpful, especially “Charming.”
The highlight for us was “hoping off” at the Boston Commons Park! I think that was stop #6. It was easy for me to push my husband’s wheelchair around the beautiful park.
The only negative aspect is that it was difficult to get good photos from the buses, but we made up for that at the park. As far as some of the historical sights, you need to be physically able to do some walking and handle some inclines. Overall, I would recommend this for seeing parts of Boston.
Very crowded. There we quite a few people waiting on the green route stops that could not get on. No room. We were afraid to get off because we may not be able to get back on. We were also disappointed we had to get off to switch to another color loop. Highlight was our driver Sue. Her mic was nice and clear and she was very entertaining!

Be careful with getting what you paid for. I bought a 2 day trolley pass (for 2 people) but the app showed that it was only 1 day. So I’m in Boston, confused, but accepted that the app was correct and my recall was mistaken. Then Il got home and looked at my paperwork and I did in fact buy a two-day pass. So I missed out on an entire day on the trolley and walked around in the rain instead of on the bus I paid for. That sucks.
Trolley tour is nice once we got on the trolley.. The need to wait for more than an hour to possibly get on a trolley was terrible.
Worst experience! Ended up having to uber back to our starting spot as busses were full, waiting hours for a trolley to come at every stop. We got on at spot 10. Rerouted to 7 to catch the city tour. Took two stops and driver said we should get off at #9 so we didn’t have to go to the cruise ship pick up/drop off. Next bus came and went to the cruise ship
Terminal also. We were told all trolleys were going there. Spent $$$$ and didn’t even get to see but 4-5 stops. Complete waste of time and money and had to spend more money to Uber back because trolley’s were full and not even space.
The best tour of a city that I have experienced! Lisbon, our driver/guide was phenomenal! You won’t regret it!
Great guide with lots of knowledge about area. Enjoyed hearing the history of Boston and learning from a locals POV.
We hopped on stop 13 with hardly any room then after we sat down went for 1 minute down the street then was told to get off on to another bus that was completely full. Tried to talk to an employee and no one was in the office. Someone was outside and told me to wait. This does not match the description of the experience I purchased for 300$. Rather spend that on an uber to go to the specific areas. Told employee never mind and requested refund through app.
Once you get on the bus, stay on the bus for the whole round of stops. If once you get off the chances of getting on again could be very very slim. We waited four rounds of hop on old trolley hop on pop off and still could not get a seat. In the end, we said forget this and you walked everywhere and went. we will be asking for our money back.
