What are people saying about Rome

I am so thankful we...
I am so thankful we signed up for this tour! I would absolutely not try to navigate the Vatican museums without a guide. It was so packed and very hot but our guide, Alessandra, knew which lines to use, was able to get us through crowded areas and bypass other rooms to get to the Sistine Chapel. It would have been so overwhelming to have tried to navigate it on our own. Alessandra was very knowledgable and also positioned us in a perfect spot right in the middle of the floor to look up and see the amazing ceilings of the Sistine Chapel. I was so thankful we signed up for this small group tour. We each had earpieces which they provided so we could hear her perfectly in spite of all the other guides and people. It was very nice to meet at the offices first (in a quiet area of town), get our tour group stickers and tickets which they handed us and walk over together. Highly recommend!

Brilliant and well worth it!
The tour was provided by Crown Tours and Sylvia was our guide. We found the meeting point was quite some distance from the nearest hop on/hop off bus stop (about a 25min walk) and we had to use Google maps to help us find the Crown Tours office - bear this in mind and allow plenty of time to arrive before your scheduled tour time. The tour itself was brilliant and Sylvia was very knowledgeable about the history of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica each of which she described in great detail as we walked round the sites. She pointed out water refill fountains and rest rooms as we were going round and gave plenty of time for people to use these if required. Overall a great tour, very informative and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Sylvia - well worth the cost and better than wandering around these attractions on our own not really knowing what we were looking at.

Insightful Vatican tour
Our guide, Eugene, expertly shepherded us through the maze of the Vatican and brought an incredible personal touch to one of Italy's must-do locations. He was efficient getting though the lines and gave excellent commentary on the highlights. This was a rewarding and well-timed tour. Would love to see more of Rome with Eugene as he is enthusiastic and well-versed in this magical city.

This was a good tour to...
This was a good tour to do for our first visit to Rome , our guide navigated the crowds got us to where we needed to be and kept us in the shade as much as possible, pointed out hydration stops and reminded us how important it is to keep hydrated in the heat. Only confusing part was the meeting spot and the colours to look out for was different to all the messages sent. We were told they had re branded, just need to update that information going to customers to avoid confusion.

Not seeing something you are looking for?

Rome is one of Europe’s most-visited cities. Millions arrive each year to wander the cobblestoned streets of the centro storico, visit world-famous attractions within Vatican City, and wander the picturesque ruins dating back to ancient times. But with the kinds of crowds these attractions bring, you can easily spend as long—or longer—in line as you do exploring. Whether you opt for a guided tour or are simply looking to visit on your own, skip the line tickets in Rome let you beat the wait and not waste a minute of your vacation time.
